Re: Has The Wii Lost it's Luster?
Personally, I'd like to see the Wii pilfer a few "exclusives" from the 360 and PS3.
Right now I'm just playing the waiting game with the new gen. I know I'm going to eventually get a PS3 for MGS4, GTA4, maybe DMC4, and hopefully for RPGM4 (Not to mention that it'll make it possible for me to get back to RPGM1, both creating and playing), and finally hopefully for Ace Combat 6 (Assuming Namco doesn't have the gall to shun Sony completely). Most likely I'll buy a Wii, if only for the VC.

Isn't 360 getting all those games as well though?Originally posted by tjoris9 View PostPersonally, I'd like to see the Wii pilfer a few "exclusives" from the 360 and PS3.

Eh, I like Resistance myself. Yeah it's another FPS, but it's got a good challenge, some cool weapons and it's action packed. It's developed by Insomniac too, and their track record for decent games shows in Resistance.Originally posted by Valkysas View Postof course, I still maintain that the only game worth playing on the PS3 right now is oblivion, which isnt exclusive. if that game wasnt out, I wouldnt play my PS3 at all. of course, thats just my tastes.
I think Nintendo has shown us how future years are going to turn out for the Wii. Droughts of decent console titles every summer, with the time eased by the VC. I'm only looking forward to Brawl and Corruption, and I hoped that the Wii will have a DS player, so I can enjoy the DS library without having the stupid handheld.Quote of the moment - "When you cut down a tree, don't stand near it."

Re: Has The Wii Lost it's Luster?
Resident Evil Wii Edition ships today.
I'm gonna pick it up later this week.
I still play my Wii all the damn time. am I the only one?
I'm perfectly happy with how the Wii is doing. it's the system's first year, things are gonna be slow. The Wii's first year is MUCH better than the PS3's so far, when it comes to exclusive titles (that actually sell a system). the 360's first year was a joke, as was the PS2's, the Xbox's, the Gamecube's (well, the GC kinda sucked all the way through except when capcom or nintendo released something), the DS', the PSP's...
so yeah, this is normal. to call special attention to the Wii is stupid. I know people had strange expectations for the system, that there'd be tons of great games released every month and all that, but that just doesnt happen in any (non DC) system's first year. and hell, you can blame Ubisoft for a big chunk of the crap on the Wii. almost all of it is from them.
based on what, how it is NOW? then you should say the same thing about the PS3, because other than one or two exclusive games out right now, that thing is a wasteland. so was the 360 in this same time frame. but look how the 360 turned out. you have to give developers time to learn a new system. both the PS3 and Wii are going to get tons of great software, its just gonna take time. time that no one seems interested in giving them.I think Nintendo has shown us how future years are going to turn out for the Wii. you need the touch screen, and you need the two screens right next to each other. a DS player is impossible.I hoped that the Wii will have a DS player, so I can enjoy the DS library without having the stupid handheld.Last edited by Valkysas; 06-19-2007, 12:48 PM.

They brought it upon themselves. We've gotten promises of great games and high potential, but all we're getting is frequent delays, with a sweet drop trickling down every blue moon. And for the record, even the DC had a crappy launch period IMO, especially in RPGs, with Evolution and Time Stalkers being good examples.Originally posted by Valkysas View Postbased on what, how it is NOW? then you should say the same thing about the PS3, because other than one or two exclusive games out right now, that thing is a wasteland. so was the 360 in this same time frame. but look how the 360 turned out. you have to give developers time to learn a new system. both the PS3 and Wii are going to get tons of great software, its just gonna take time. time that no one seems interested in giving them.

Touch could be generated by a forward stretch or button press, and the screens could be simulated on TV. I mean, the GBP wasn't widely accepted, but it worked.Quote of the moment - "When you cut down a tree, don't stand near it."

360 was the same, PS3 is the same. We've gotten promises of great games and high potential, but all we're getting is frequent delays, with a sweet drop trickling down every blue moon.
Sonic Adventure, Marvel vs. Capcom, Soul Calibur, Power Stone... that wasnt crappy at all.And for the record, even the DC had a crappy launch period IMOLast edited by Valkysas; 06-19-2007, 12:47 PM.
