Re: What's your favorite Zelda game?
links awakening was a blast. cause, you know, you could JUMP. but i'm surprised the two hot choices are ocarina and lttp. they're both really great, but no freaks who life majoras mask more, which was nice and distrubing in ways ocarina could only be by accident. and nobody likes the original best? i'm even more surprised that there's not one or two that still thinks its the bees knees.
all the zeldas are so not sucky, it's hard to pick one. i think we can all (except mora) agree that it's a well done franchise, with many fun games.
and if you like ocarina more than lttp you're ****ing insane

Yeah, SHFC expressed my love for Link to the Past pretty well. There's always SOMETHING, SOMEWHERE. Hyrule was at once expansive and compact. Going from Kakariko to Zora's Pond wasn't a big deal.
I don't hate Ocarina of Time, but all that dumb space always bugged me. I remember in some magazine someone was like, "My favorite video game moment was leaving the Kokiri Woods and walking into the vastness of Hyrule Field," but I was all like, "What? Hyrule Field was a big, dull empty dump. Hyrule Field is my LEAST favorite part of Ocarina of Time." I kind of had the same feeling about Twilight Princess; thank GOD they introduced the warp system.
You know what Ocarina of Time could've used? ****ing Pegasus Boots. Every Zelda needs God damn Pegasus Boots.
Oh, man, and don't get me started on Wind Waker.Last edited by Kefka Jr.; 03-30-2007, 03:41 PM.

I didn't mind the vastness of Twilight Princess what with Epona. I hated Epona in Ocarina because I could never get her to jump those damn fences. I actually didn't mind most of the stuff in Wind Waker. Sailing wasn't that bad and I dug the cartoony graphics. It did feel woefully incomplete though. If they'd had two more dungeons it would have put it over the top.
But I guess it could have used some Pegasus SailsThe Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.
