Re: Turn based or real time?

Legend of Dragoon's battle system was very impressive. Which reminds me....it was such an ambitious project at the time. I wonder why they never considered a sequel to it? Maybe someday.

That's why I'm so thankful for FFXII's Gambit System, which allows you to have some degree of control over the AI if you felt like letting the computer control your party members.

Still though, both systems are good with me. Although I picked real-time as my choice, it doesn't mean I don't appreciate turn-based.
Thats like when I play kingdom hearts. Donald and Goofy hardly ever do what I set them to do... But they still help me.

The only redeeming quality in Legend of Dragoon was it's battle system. Mainly the additions. The thing that did suck was that magic was not all that effective, and a little too much emphasis was put on the use of items, when you could only hold 64 of them.

I can still remember how the battle theme played out.

The battle system did have some annoying flaws, but I really did enjoy the addition system. Albert's were always a ***** to pull off.

I like the system in Final Fantasy X because of the overdrive attacks. They are timed-button attacks.
