    As far as I know...
Atari just publishes the ps2 DBZ games in english. Those are developed by Dimps, a jp company. And Bandai publishes the games in japan.

The DBZ games that I wanted to play were the ones for the Super Famicom; when Bandai held the license. (Do they still hold it in Japan? I dunno....) There was a small game store that had it on display and I tried a little bit of it and thought to myself, "Damn it, why didn't they bring this to the US? It could have done remarkably well." It was a Street Fighter clone, but a GOOD one.
Either you mean the atrocious Super Butoden series, or you mean Hyper Dimension which looks good, but plays slow and sloppy.

That is where I stopped reading and started laughing. Budokai was terribly unbalanced and lacked about any use of strategy. You could pretty much win every fight by simply holding the block button until you decide you are ready to attack. Luckily, the series did improve drasticly with Budokai 3. So much was added to the fighting mechanics, making me rather happy. I see Budokai 3 as probably the best game in the series, but honestly, Tenkaichi 2 is the closest to the actual anime.

Hmmm, I think it was Hyper Dimension. I do agree it was a little slow, but it was a fun game while I got to play it for a while. And it was the only DBZ Super Famicom game I ever tried.

How many DBZ games did they make for the Super Famicom anyway? I believe they made a few for the Famicom, too.

I wasn't talking about the first game, just the whole series in general. Budokai wasn't too bad, but compared to B3 which could be tournament worthy, it was a mess. =p

I think the DBZ games sucked incredibly hard, until Atari started managing the DBZ games in the US. That was when the standards were raised beyond ****.

I liked the 3 vs. 3 PS game though, but there were so many things wrong with it(like the camera and the character portraits).

That one was actually my favorite of the PS1 dbz games. I just wish they would do something like that today because a lot of the fights in the series were group battles.

A multi-player DBZ game--in the vein of Guardian Heroes--wouldn't be a bad idea, especially if it had online mode.

...Which eventually degraded into 1 vs. 1s, due to "power differences".

Tenkaichi 2 has tag-in battle, but I never could figure out how to tag in and out. I only rented the game, there was no manual with it so I was ****ed, there. It would be nice to have them all on screen at the same time. That would be awesome.

3 Super Butoden games, Hyper Dimension, and 2 Super Gokuden games (RPGs that had a card-based battle system).

Jase hates Tenkaichi, but with one exception: he loves watching it. I think I'll get 2, cause if it's anything like one, you master the steep learning curve, it becomes a cakewalk, and then you have epic anime-esque battles and hilarious battles.

Did you own 1? If not, thats why. It's hard to learn, but then easy to mater.
How much is it for PS2? Still 50?

I don't have a wii, but I love the ps2 version. I hated the first one but they really made a fun game in the second one.
