    Do people steal your games?

I meant to make this topic a few weeks ago.

I recently discovered that a LOT of my games are missing.
The GC Resident Evil games are gone (So I was hyped when Toaster offered me the RE remake), Megaman Battle Network 3-6 are gone, Megaman Zero 1-3 are gone, Metroid Fusion, and all the GC Sonic games are gone.

No telling when most of these "left", since I had my GC games shoved in my closet between the time that my GC broke and I got my Wii, so thats quite a while (paper mario: the thousand year door came out shortly after my GC broke). GBA games were scattered all around my room until about a month ago, so it'd be really easy for anyone to just grab one and leave with it.

Really taught me to keep things organized. at least now, I'll know when something is missing. The "tour my house" topic was made the very night I finished organizing everything and found all that stuff missing.

So, share your stolen/lost game stories here.

I was living in a recovery house, and this guy who decided to go out and use again broke into the house, and stole all 10 or so of my GBA games and my GBA.

I had Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, WarioWare, Tactics Ogre, FFTA, Pinball of the Dead, among others.

And when I was in the hospital, my landlord took the back door off of my apartment to let anyone come in to take anything they wanted. My N64 Ogre Battle and Starcraft were stolen, as were my SNES and about 12 SNES games, including Sim City, Civ II, Ogre Battle (which is worth over $100 now), Shadowrun, and many others.

Once when I was a kid, this other kid stole a game cartridge from me.

I subsequently sat on him 'till he surrendered it.

Half of my Dreamcast games came from a friend who let me borrow them, and then the week before I moved to Oklahoma, I asked him if he wanted them back, and he told me to keep them.

A kid left copies of CodeBreaker, the Claire disk for Resident Evil 2, Medievel, Intelligent Qube, and some sports game at my house, and when I moved to Oklahoma I basically stole them.

My room mate after I dropped out of college had a bunch of DC games that she left behind and I ended up with them when I moved out. She stole my Firefly complete series DVDs though, so it's all good. Among them were Mortal Kombat Ultimate or something, and the Claire disk of Resident Evil 2.

I let a friend at work borrow my copy of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and she was let go because she was a temp shortly thereafter, and I never saw or heard from her again. I recently got another copy for $5, though.

And a fat kid stole my NES Game Genie when I was really young. He was fatter than me, so I belittle his fatness.

And someone stole my copy of Shining Force II based on the fact that I didn't do anything but play that game back in the day. It took me years to get another copy.

Some of my PS2 games got borrowed by various people, never to be seen again. Of the ones I can recalls RE Code Veronica, Tenchu Wrath of Heaven, Kingdom Hearts, Buffy Chaos Bleeds, MGS3, and I'm sure there's some others. Most were my mom asking me to let her loan my games to friends of hers and then she'd completely forget about it. A couple were games I loaned my cousins and who knows what happened to them. One of my cousins has a habit of loaning out games he's borrowed. Now I don't let anybody borrow anything from me unless I can go to their house to get it back myself. People can't be trusted.

Closer investigation revealed more games to be missing.

Someone is going to f'ing die for this.

I put my classic Megaman games in a box in my closet after I got both megaman collections, so nothing would happen to them. Megaman X2, X3, and Megaman Soccer are gone.

I hope they're just lost. They'd better just be lost. If they were stolen, I know exactly who took them and blood will be shed.

Also, I obviously need to get new friends.

I had Castlevania II: Simon's Quest stolen from me once. Well, technically, it WASN'T stolen--I let my friend borrow it and I didn't know she lent it to another friend. That "other friend" moved away a week later and I haven't seen it since.

Back in the day, I let friends borrow my games. I don't anymore.

Re: Do people steal your games?

During my junior year in college, my roommate's friends stole my old copy of FFVII, this Namco (or was it Taito?) arcade greatest hits collection, and my ****ing PS memory card. I had all my Squaresoft game saves on it. I was working on the 50th floor of the Chrysler Building in Parasite Eve at the time. Jerks.

I've also had some games get borrowed into oblivion, and a few have been lost during moving adventures.

I stole a copy of Metal Gear for NES from my friend's older brother when I was in middle school. I'd played it before and thought it was cool. Plus, she said it was okay. :P

Somehow I let my silver GBA from JAPAN with 80 hours of FFTA out of my sight. Searched every possible place I've been for it so I can only assume someone took it.

And FF3 for SNES got spirited away. But we got a new copy a while after that.

One of my sister's ex-boyfriends stole a **** load of my games a while back. I still haven't been able to replace all of them.

I let a person borrow Command and Conquer Red Alert and Unreal Tornament for PC and never got it back.

When I was 3 or 4 I tried stealing my cousins copy of Mario 3 by hiding it under my bed.
