GDG Q&A (You have to ask a Q to get an A.)

The purpose of this topic is simple. You ask questions, and I'll answer them. Questions can range from "When is [insert game here] going to be released" to spoilerific stuff like "Who is going to get killed in your game". Spoilerific questions will of course be hidden using the Spoiler tag, so that those not wanting to see them probably won't. All questions will be answered in this post, and I'll note when I add anything new. I'm going to try to answer questions as often as I can.

    So, ask away!

Q: Which game are you currently working on (and if more than 1, which one are you devoting more time on)?
A: I'm working on my secondary project, Dungeon Crawled.

Q: Why did you decide to bring Jester's Hunt 3D to RM2 instead of RM3? I thought that the linear nature of RM3 would lend itself to the series nicely, but maybe I'm missing something?
A: For starters, RPGM2 looks cartooney. RPGM3 doesn't. And while RPGM3 might suit the linear portions nicely, I still want to have the open-ended--HEY! Are you suggesting that JH1 was too linear?!

Q: Do you think you might make a serious game for RPG Maker 3 in the future? Just out of curiosity.
A: I do in fact have one game idea I want to try in the future, details of which I do not intend to reveal until I'm certain that I'll make it. Right now, though, I do not know the ins and outs of RPGM3 well enough to properly plan a game, and I'm still bummed out about how field map creation works.

    NEW
Q: Any chance of another demo for SR?
A: Nope. Not if the project stays on RPGM1. There's nothing else I want to show in demo form.

    NEW
Q: Where does inspiration from your game come from? And if you do have inspiration, do you immediately take advantage of it by working on your game(s) or do you tend to put it off?
A: It just comes to me. And when it does, I usually have a habit of putting it off, and by the time I do decide to get back on it, I've already lost it.

    NEW
Q: Have you made any AO rated games and if not, why not? Very Happy
A: No. I'm not that sort of person.

Too much trial and error. I like to make my maps specifically designed, and the best I could do with RPGM3 was "sorta there". Plus I hate how I had to constantly make sure there wasn't a spot on my mountains that was walkable. Sorta defeats the purpose of it being a mountain. And when I tried fixing it, it only deformed the mountain or caused another problem. Oh yes, and automatic beaches suck. That's not supposed to be a sandy cliff.
