Given what he believes are the right things to do, and the circumstances he has been in, I think he has done the best job possible. I think people that are overly disappointed were unrealistic going in.
Of course, I fundamenally disagree with his political philosphy, and so I would like him out of office. But I expect him to be re-elected.
I don't think he's going to be re-elected. Fiddling with health care, even with good intentions, really cheeses off the elderly population, and they ALWAYS get the ball first in the second half. Barack is going to have to pull off a miracle before the two-minute warning just to stay in the game.
Were we supposed to use football analogies throughout this topic? It seemed to fit...
I think he had WAAAAAAAAAAY too much to live up to, following up Bush's quagmire and all. Honestly, he's been TOO bipartisan, even when all the while the right still screams "LEFT WING COMMIE HITLER" no matter what he does.
I'm very happy w/ the health care initiative he tried to push forward, with what actually got through, and his push forward on Don't Ask Don't Tell.
My prediction is he WILL get re-elected because people underestimate his political savvy, especially if he's up against the guys who say we should absolutely execute Julian Asange (wikileaks). BTW, both Palin and Huckabee stated this.

We give him American rights, we give him American punishment. As I've said, I like the idea behind Wikileaks - forcing the Government to be more transparent - but what he's done is tantamount to treason.
What's the point of having an emergency response system if you can't provoke the wrath of God?

How the hell is it tantamount to treason for the australian man to expose american secrets, when treason is "the betrayal of one's sovereign nation"? What american rights are we giving him? You mean how he's able to do this whole thing because of Sweden's very powerful source protection laws, and it's not the american "freedom of press" at all, but Sweden's?

He's done moderately well at delivering what he promised to do. Of course, I didn't really want him to do that, so I'm not thrilled.
Similar to my view. I think he's done adequately, but I wasn't exactly expecting him to take actions I'd agree with. Some on the right like to scream about every action he takes; the man had a pretty liberal history as a legislator, so his actions as president aren't overly surprising. I give him credit for listening to the opposition or at least recognizing that people have different politcal views; some partisan hacks are incapable of doing that and show nothing but haughty comtempt for people who don't agree with them, they right them off as crazy and/or stupid. That sort of attitide makes partisan discord worse.

Pesonally, I think there's too many immature fools on the left who scream that he's not doing everything they want. He seems to realize better than they do that Ameican isn't quite liberal enough as a whole for that.

I think he has a good chance of getting re-elected because he's not an idiot and he knows how to run a campaign. The Republicans need to be careful not to nominate fools like Palin or Huckabee if they really want to win in 2012.

Treason is quite specifically defined in the Constituton as levying war against the US, joining an enemy force or giving them aid. As much as I can't stand Assange, I can't see how his actions could be defined specifically as treason.
