24, and never owned a vehicle of my own. But then this came along. Oh moma, love at first sight.

The guy selling it seemed like a crack dealer. He was only 20, and he just lost his liscense, and was all hung over. He was packing around like 5 of his friends in his tiny little car, all of them with hoodies and skater shoes. They couldnt even get the address right, and we had trouble finding the place. He was selling the car for somebody he knew and the owner wrote the wrong numbers on the transfer form, blah blah blah. It all worked out in the end though. It wasnt stolen or anything and got all checked out. Its air cared too which is good.
But anyway, 1977 Chevy Nova Concours Coupe, for $2600. I was expecting like $6000 or more when I saw the pictures.Its in pretty good condition. No exterior rust, some scratches on the paint, but its a cheapass paintjob. Above the back bumper theres this wierd plastic piece where the paints all chipped. Apparently its a stock piece, but it flops around. I need to see if some bolts are missing or something. He had the seats redone in horrible tan/red to help sell it and it looks awful. I might rip them out and sell them and use that money for some comfy seats.
Theres also some stupid spikes somebody added on the front end on the hood. I was going to add spikes to it eventually anyway, but whoever added these picked stupid looking spikes, and picked a retarded spot for them. Hell, its got little skullknobs ont he door locks. Spikes and skulls! Its like this car was destined for me~
The engine needs a little work, and the old ass hose for the power steering has a leak. Theres a bunch of little things it needs, but Ive got no problem with that. I dont know much about car engines, and their internal workings, so this will be great to screw around with and learn about.
I was dissapointed a bit too when we popped the hood and it wasnt one of the Concours that had a V8. There were three models when it came out. 170HP V8, 145HP V8, and 110HP Straight 6. Mines the 110HP one, but it gets way better gas mileage than the V8 ones would, so thats pretty nice.
