Ah, right, the old thread about this got moved because it was by a costume account. It was good. Weird to see it set in my neck of the woods, few things are. Even things filmed around here tend to be set elsewhere. For example, I used to have a show on the same street where Harrlelson and Eisenberg end up walking after the girls carjack them in Zombieland, but that was supposed to be "Texas", I think. Quite trippy when I saw that part at the theater.

I'll end up watching this regularly, I suspect. AMC's definitely got the goods of late. I don't watch Mad Men regularly, but it seems to be a high quality show. And Breaking Bad might just be the best show currently going.

I live about 15 minutes away from where Rambo:First Blood was filmed. Ive been over the bridge from the beginning of the movie tons of times. They are actually talking about tearing it down and building a new bridge. D:

Yeah, the tank scene was pretty cool. For a moment I thought, "Wait, they're gonna kill off the protagonist in the first episode?"

I appreciated that when Rick fired off the gun inside, the noise disoriented him as it should, instead of completely ignoring it like TV and movies like to do. And then the great overhead view zooming out to end the show.

I thought he would have gave the guy the hacksaw after dropping the key or something and then left him, but then he locked the door too so whatever. Guy needed to die anyway. I dont see why he didnt just flip over a bunch of times to twist the handcuff chain a few times until it snaps. :I

Also they need to contact this guy to see if they can use his intro he made for fun with some friends.

You can twist any chain around a couple times till its tight, and keep pushing it till it snaps, Bigger chains require alot more force, etc. Chained handcuffs arent designed to be twist proof.

A valiant effort~ But I prefer Bear's creepy tunes. Especially that nauseating one that played during black guy's massive ****-up. MAaaaan. THAT TENSION.

Second episode in and it already looks like this show's shaping up to be quite something. They really took the "expansion" idea and ran with it this time. This is a straight-up remix now at this point. Events out of order, character mixed up, new scenes, new dialogue, way more characterization.

Though some of it was a bit cheesy. Did anyone really care about that guy they hacked up? Glenn made up for it though.

I recall him getting eaten or killed or something pretty quickly in the book. I dont remember, but then again EVERYBODY ****ing dies in the books eventually.

I hope he stays around for a while though. He seems pretty cool.

I didn't read too far into the comics but I really like the show. Feels like they put more thought into how to progress from point A to point B where parts of the comic (the early part that I read anyway) felt rushed. Only downside is knowing there are only six episodes in this first season they won't have gotten very far before we have to wait for the second.

P.S. I also like that they have Lori and Shane still fooling around rather than it being a one time thing. Will make for even more drama once Rick reunites with them.
