    OK. My preference against indirectly giving money to scum like Polanski doesn't extend to the point that I feel the need to convert others to my cause. I realize that not everyone's liable to think about it the way I do, and might not be concerned with continuing to line the pockets of a pedo.

        Problem when books get adapted. Not really what you imagine.

        I'm pretty sure they didn't wear gay neon jump suits.

            But why would one of the most celebrated manga-ka of all time, who's been producing some of the most elaborate animated feature films of all time in recent years, dedicate his time to drawing an adaptation of a cult classic sci-fi novel?

              You should try Empire, a more recent novel by Card. Its hard to get into at first, but its really great by the end of it. I'm waiting for the sequel to be released in paperback.

                I'm not convinced it would have been any better as a manga. And I read Empire recently, it was good, although not extremely memorable after finishing it.
