You should be. My company said they'd put a good word in for me. Well, almost 5 months later... I'm still unemployed.

Statistically, your odds of finding a job right now are extremely low(ANY job, including McDonalds). Some employers are in fact starting to discriminate against the unemployed by refusing to hire them! For every unfilled job in existence in the U.S. there are about 6 people who are seeking a job and don't have one. That ratio gets even more skewed against job hunters when it is a professional job... Just to have an income source of sorts(I was having problems with unemployment at the time), my sister even tried to help me get a minimum wage job at a thrift store she worked at, and there was a stack of applications on the manager's desk that was six inches thick.

Seems like a good opportunity to move onto something new. Don't worry about Terr's doomsday predictions. I've had friends graduating every year for the past three years, most without the experience you have, and they've all managed to find jobs they're happy with. (They've all been willing to move across the country to get a good job, though; I dunno if that's an option for you.)
