Are you serious? You want to slaughter an animal just because it was doing whats in its nature? You want to kill a creature for being hungry?
You sicken me.
Foxes arent even aggressive; they'll come right up to you and take food from your hand. And then you have the galls to take the actions of one animal and assume that all the rest are just the same way. Has history taught you nothing? If you didnt want your cat to run into wild animals you should have kept him inside.
Frankly, everyone who agrees with such a biased "Humans are always right" sentimentality, disgust me.
That is all I have to say.
I echo what others have said. What was your cat doing outdoors unattended? Domestic cats that are allowed to roam outside freely are responsible for a hell of a lot more death than foxes or coyotes. Cats hunt when they're outside, too. They hunt rabbits, squirrels, etc. It's in their nature. Just like it was in that fox's nature to kill your cat? I understand being upset about it. I understand wanting to do something to relieve the anger you feel. But the mature thing to do in this circumstance is to realize that it was as much the fox's fault as it was the owner's fault for not looking after the safety of the pet.
The only thing I would suggest doing would be to keep your animals in at night, and to use a BB/Pellet gun to chase them off. If they keep comming back, and get hit in the butt, they might learn to stay away.
