This thread is about movies you've seen lately, or ones of special mention, that had all the ingredients (good actors, good premise, good soundtrack) but just ended up being an hour and a half of akward dialogue and ruining your perception of the actors involved.
I saw a movie on Sunday called Demon Hunters. It starred Sean Patrick Flannery and Colleen Porch. Sean plays Jake Greyman, a halfbreed demon hunter with super human strength and all that stuff. Colleen Porch plays a nun who tags along when stuff gets real.
So, Asmodeus (Billy Drago) comes to Earth and tries to start the apocalypse in LA by making some half demon babies and just ruining everybody's day. Sound cool? It was not. Billy Drago "seduces" some chick and practically turns into a softcore porn, and somehow manages to bone her with his pants completely on and zipped. The two lesbian scenes are just akward: there's some guy chilling in a corner of the room in the first and the second is practically rape (the nun started resisting when crazy Asian chick starts removing clothing). Somehow Flannery's character loses in a fight with Asmodeus, when nun turns out to be a demon and curb stomps Asmodeus. Then Sean forgets about the whole "I got owned by the dude she just curb stomped" and smacks her up.
The action scenes were poorly choreographed, they introduced crap out of nowhere and forgot about earlier crap. Everybody involved was far above the movie, and they kept playing some alt/grunge crap that would have been cool if it wasn't played at every point Sean is in between places. The possessed folks were cheap and incredibly cliche. Their impressions of a demon were a hoarse voice, bending the head down and rolling the eyes up, and a ridiculously stupid "creepy" smile.

. Jason Statham, Ron Perlman, Ray Liota, John Rhys-Davies, Burt Reynolds... basically an action movie cast to die for and yet it was masterminded by the worst director in the world that still gets media attention and funding. A major kick in the nuts to anyone who saw the cast list before scrolling down and seeing the director's name.
