Yeah, Tim Burton is the master of adaptations. Why, just look at Planet of the Apes. And Sleepy Hollow. And Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

That and Batman are like the two adaptations he didn't completely **** over, and even you admit how Burton seems to have only heard of Batman in passing.

Tin Man was great. I love movies that look at a tired story from another angle. Like Beowulf. The movie itself wasn't great in that case, but the different take they had was very interesting. The 13th Warrior is a better example.

I'm looking forward to a Looking Glass Wars movie.

Sorry, brosef, but that Beowulf adaptation was less of an adaptation and more of just a pile of ****.

Well, to me, Sleepy Hollow was absurd and silly. I don't mean that in a way to make myself superior to people who happen to like it (I mean really, why do I even have to bother with this disclaimer? :s) But I felt that whatever it gained it in a narrative that actually made sense it muddled up with the stupid "real villain" at the end, super bad ass duel sword swinging, Christopher ****in' Walken and amazing dialog such as "Perhaps you are a witch because you have bewitched me." :V

But I can at least admit I liked it when I was like 12!
