Yeah. They were ridiculous interpretations of the games, but, damn it, they had a vision and they stuck to it. Stupid and extravagant is better than stupid and boring.

It's interesting that they described Dead or Alive is a rip-off of Enter the Dragon, because that's exactly what Mortal Kombat was!

I guess Mortal Kombat is still the best video game movie??

I really did like Super Mario Bros. It had absolutely nothing to do with the game and somehow they translated a whimsical platformer with colorful enemies into a dark, dystopian world ruled by a super evolved dinosaur with an evolution machine.

The best video game movies are the ones that don't take themselves too seriously because, frankly, video game plots are ridiculous. The Legend of Chun Li is way worse than the Street Fighter film and Doom is probably the worst adaption of any video game I've seen while still trying to be serious.

Also, Mortal Kombat. Awesome. Mortal Kombat 2? Not so much. I heard a Primal Rage movie was also in development.

I wish they'd make an Eternal Champions movie, and have all of the characters' dialogue be the insults from the game.
