I saw "Revenge Of The Nerds" last weekend

You know, that old 80's flick about a bunch of nerds at college who fight back against a Jock fraternity called Alpha Beta. It was played on G4'a "Movies That Don't Suck". Well, it was a pretty good flick.

Do any of you guys remember it?

I've seen a few of the Revenge of the Nerds movies but I can only really remember certain scenes so I can't keep track of them. Which one is the one where they did the concert, I'm pretty sure that wasn't the first. First one had Jefferson from Married With Chidlren IIRC.

There is at least three. The original, Nerds in Paradise, and The Next Generation.

I don't know if II was good, but the third one is really bad. Stick to the original, which did have the concert.

Yeah, classic 80s movie. Sadly, I first saw this when it was still current. Not in the theaters, but on VHS. Not QUITE to the level of the John Hughes stuff, but a definite step up from Porky's and all the other 80s T and A stuff. At least Revenge of the Nerds had a decent message amidst all the (sometimes potty) humor, and had a warm, lighthearted center instead of a raunchy, exploitative one.


The second one was decent

but everything after that just didn't have the same level of...I dunno. Wasn't that kid from the first one the main "star" of the third or fourth one or whatever?


And Anthony Edwards pretty much dissociated himself from the series after the first one (he does a few small scenes in the second one), and went on to MUCH better things with E.R.


But D13/nerd god/whatever, if you liked this, and have not seen Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, or Ferris Bueller's Day Off, you might enjoy those as well.

I was gonna mention that scene in my above post, actually. How the nerds made a javelin suited for Lamar's limp-wristed throwing style.
