Stephen King's books are goooood. He'll kick it eventually, too, probably in the middle of some new epic septology that he kept not finishing.

As for Crichton, I never read the books. Congo amuses me as a movie, though. It's so bad it's good.

Congo, The Andromeda Strain, Sphere, and of course, ER are all very good.

Jurassic Park and it's exploding franchise is my secret lover.


But why does he leave this as his lasting legacy?


Way to go...

Even going back to West World and Jurassic Park, you see Crichton's preachy grudge against science. But this one was just infuriating.

Oh well. Ill just try to focus on the good...

i didn't read state of fear, or any modern crichton book. but i liked his old ones
