I'm supposed to be working on homework (and I have a lot), and instead I've been here for the past hour surfing the internet. I barely have anything done and this stuff's due tomorrow.
as long as it helps then its good for you, i got a few heavy metal friends who listen to stuff and study fine where i couldnt even hear myself think. im the worst for procrastination, i useualy either dont do homework or i do it on the way to school. best way to fix it is to break the habit and get into a routine, balance it out with doing other crap in between doing homework.
Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!
Card Three is released! You can find it here!
You may find it helpful, in the future, to take your study materials to an comfortable environment lacking distractions--a library, a particular room in your house, even a park perhaps. Or, perhaps if you have a studious friend, you could try doing your work in each other's company--allowing for some interaction to ultimately keep you focused.
The danger with poor study habits is that they don't simply dissolve over time, you have to actively work at correcting them. The longer you wait to correct them, the harder it may be. And then you may find yourself hitting an academic wall, regardless of your intellect or interest. So a principal step to fixing your poor study habits is to soidify your resolve to be a better student. How you do that, well, is something only you may know.
But good luck, don't short change yourself, and don't give up.
Alright Dusk Raven, here is my tried and true method of getting **** done. Do this:
1) Stop whatever distracting thing you're doing right now.
2) Disconnect your computer from the internet.
3) Pull out your homework.
4) Pick out a very small part, and work on it for 2 minutes.
I leave my browser open while I work. But you're right.
Well, why are you still logged in? Don't even reply to this message. Physically disconnect your internet and start working for a mere 2 minutes. That's all you have to do.
