So Im hopefully going to get a tattoo tomorrow. I would have gotten it today, but the guy was busy. I want to get it done on my hand. It would look something like this, but itll be a little smaller.



My mom was visiting, and she went all "OMG YOU WANT A TATTOO! MY SWEET BABY BOY!", and now about 15minutes ago, she called my dad and then he called me. "Theres nerves and things in your hands! You could loose all feeling in it! Get it done on your shoulder or something! You dont want people to see it!"

But thats the thing! I want people to see it. When your out to be one of the greatest chefs in the world, I want to have something for people to know me by. I can also strike a cool pose with it being that way on my hand.

Clench fist, hold arm up, show off symbol.

Ive been thinking about it for a long time, and I wouldnt want it anywhere else on my body.

Generally speaking most people that get a hand tattoo usually get it facing away from them so when their hands are at rest orther people can see it better. I think you should have the smiley facing your knuckles.

It also is better to do it that way if you are planning on getting any on your arm so that it can be worked into the overall design.

Make sure you go to someone really good who is willing to retouch it for you because hand tattoos fade pretty fast due to all the wear and tear of everyday.

I'm surprised the guy thats going to tattoo you wil actually do it. Around here you can't really get a hand tattoo in a reputable shop without first havig a sleeve. Most artist don't want to tattoo a hand without knowing that the client is commited to really being tattooed because of the stima that goes along with having a hand tat.

I thought most places don't tattoo hands because it's too dangerous (too many veins close to the skin or something)?
