HUUUUUUUUUGE.
Well, this should be a good sign that things are back to normal here.
First off, the Pavilionite Biography gets an extension today. New end date is April 11th. Why? Because of all the non-RPGM games coming out in the next two months. No one would get anything done (and I'd have a hell of a time judging it)! This gives people two more months to work on their games.
SECOND, I want to introduce a new feature on the site that starts today. Project Pages.
Starting right now, if you have a big project under way, you can have a sub-site on the RPG Maker Pavilion dedicated to it. This isnt really meant for games you may be making. Think more along the lines of Draygone's LPs, the big group project that recently started (see community news below), or even thutmose's RPGM1 keyboard project (again, see community news below), or even non-RPGM things like Pavilion Survivor or the Morrowind Misadventures. Project Pages will be set up much like the front page, but with major elements left up to you. If you want, you'll be able to have multiple pages (up to 8), have your own navigation module, an info module (displayed on the upper right), decide how many items you want displayed on each page, if you want items to display in full, or have a cut-off point where people will have to click on it to read more, how many items you want to display in the archive (like on the main page), or if you even want an archive.
After your page is set up, all you have to do is post in a certain forum I set up for you. the project page will pull all it's content from that forum. no coding is required. However you arrange your post, that's how it'll appear on your page. It will be incredibly easy to manage.
Currently, this new feature should be considered to be in Beta. I will expand it over time, and it's much more limited than the version I had planned for the vb4 site, but I'll keep building it up as I can, and eventually, it will be open for everyone's use, and won't even involve me. commas.
If you are interested in this new feature, PM me, letting me know what you want to do a page for. I'll state this again, this isnt for the games single users are making. This is for big things that would appeal to lots of people, and it is NOT limited to RPG Maker. Most creative endeavors will be strongly considered. If your idea fits what this is for, I'll let you know, and have you give me some basic info so I can build the page and hand it over to you. These should not take more than a day for me to set up, unless I'm very busy. Project Pages will be a top priority from now on. The Pavilion is going to evolve into a site built around the community here, rather than strictly RPG Maker, and this is merely the first step.
Once the first project page is built, you'll see a new link in the navigation menu, and a new module on the right side of the site informing people of the last 10 updates to the section, much like the recent submissions module we have now.
Okay. That's out of the way.
Now for over a month of backlogged community news updates.

- New game from Vonwert - He shares the story of his contest game.
- Who is currently making a game? - Those people are. and the people above. and below. what an odd topic.

General
- Third Official Pavilion Monster Rancher Giveaway - Did you know we're working with Tecmo to promote Monster Rancher DS? It's true! You'll see it quite a bit leading up to the game's release in March. The promotion kicks off with a massive giveaway, courtesy of local santa, RPGD. 8 copies of the game are up for grabs, as well as a DSi XL! Stop by the topic and post "Corn Hospital" by January 31st to state your intention to enter into the giveaway. After that, you have until March 1st to do something creative involving Monster Rancher, and send it to an e-mail address that I assume will be posted by the time the sign-up period ends. Better details available in the topic.
- Harry Mason looks like a douchebag - He really does.
- Funk Blog.
- Stupid Somethings continue to be drawn.
- Caciss Posts Stuff.
- Sejon Dumps Art.
- Denmo's FFX comic continues. Also, auditions?
That's it? Probably. Activity tends to drop when these news posts arent being made, or when we go a month without a website. Also, there's the whole "Each game usually appears every week here, so the size is consistent regardless of the amount of updates each game recieves" thing. meh.
In case you're wondering why these posts are often made with "building post", and then edited with content later on, it's because they take a LONG time to make, and I want to make sure the topic is posted by midnight so I know the proper cutoff date for the next one. Look at the post time and the edit time to see how long this one took. it's retarded.
