Before playing Nissi-The Return of The Noths, there are a few things
you should know. The game is divided onto four cards, aptly labeled.
To start the game, place the card with the System in one slot and a
card with the Card One-Scenario and Art in slot two. Load up the game,
and all should run smoothly. Periodically, the game will ask you to
insert either Card One, Card Two or Card Three, depending on where
you are going in the game. You do not lose any information when you
switch cards, which you have to do in order to play the game. I like
to always have Card Two and Card Three in the slots, after I load the
system, for these cards are the primary Scenario Cards.

In Nissi, I make use of a Quest System. In a certain building in the
town of Storge, there are various merchants who need your help. At a
certain point in the game, you can come back to these merchants and
accept the quest that he offers you. The rewards for fulfilling the
quest are very nice. Each merchant will give you detailed instructions
on how to complete his quest, and some quests are harder than others.

One of my main desires is for each player to play the game however he
likes. Thus, I will not tell you the best way to do things, nor will
I inform you of every circumstance you will come across. (puzzles,
quizzes, riddles, etc.) The game makes use of a class system, and
many different ways of utilizing this system. There is also an
that lets you craft your own armor, but I will leave it to you to
figure these things out. If you are stuck and ever need help,
e-mail me and I will help you any way I can.

Other than that, all I can say is that I hope you enjoy the game.
Don't be afraid to tell me what you thought of it, whether its a
good or bad opinion. I would love to hear from you. Lastly, bear
in mind that this is a very long game, and you shouldnt expect to
finish it in one sitting. Just like professional games, it will
probably take you many hours to complete the game and would be best
enjoyed if played sporadically throughout the week. But do whatever you
want =)

STORY

One year after The Nurith War, life was good. Macerios and Pintheo
have united to become the country of Shammah. The Nurith are utterly
vanquished and no traces of them can be found. Hormah has been rebuilt
and Joab changed its name to Katheros. Rone and Agate have been looking
over Shammah and Hayah, Misty and Joab have been training the Macerean
knights. One day Kaedmon, the keyholder showed up for a visit. There
was a warm reception and they discuss old times. But then he relayed
a message from the Seer of Ketubim. The Seer is holding a council and
would like everyone to meet at his house in Ketubim. Rone arrived to
find all his old friends waiting. And the Seer tells his story:

Many miles away, in the southeastern corner of the planet, there is a
continent known as Menigah. Many, many years ago, the Seer recalls,
there was trade between Macerios and Menigah. But something cut that
trade off. The king of Menigah abruptly died and left no heir. A civil
war broke out, and the leaders of the powerful houses fought for the
throne. This war lasted many years, and all were weary of it. But one
leader sought other means to win the war. He held council with a witch,
and made a pact with the Noths. The Noths would come up from Sheol and
help fight the war and set this man up as king. Soon after, Noths began
to possess people from all over Menigah and cast them into the sea.
Within a year, all of Menigah was under the thumb of the one Leader.
But the Noth's had other plans. The Noth Lord Sheth possessed the
leader and subdjegated all of Menigah. The Noths ruled. It was they
that first sent the Nurith to attack Menigah and Pintheo. And now that
their precious Nurith have been defeated, Sheth has a score to settle.
He has been secretly doing the forbidden. He has sent some of his Noths
to sleep with mortal women, and their offspring become the mighty
Nephilim, the giants of old. With an army of Nephilim at his disposal,
who can stand in his way? And what will Rone and his friends do to stop
him?

OATHS

When your character levels, he may learn a new Oath. An Oath is a
powerful command that you give towards your enemy. Words are one of the
most powerful things in the world, and as you gain experience you can
become a more powerful Word Wielder. Oaths can cause damage to your
enemies, heal your allies, or even cause status effects on your
enemies. Oaths will become very useful, I grantee it. (This is my
equivalent to the common magic system)

ITEMS

There are many different items in the world of
Nissi-The Return of The Noths. Some are curing items, such as Mana and
Mead. Others are statistic cures, such as Smelling Salts. It is your
job to explore this world and find out what each item does. Keys unlock
chests, or perhaps dispel certain barriers. To use a key, stand next to
the object you wish to unlock, press SQUARE and go through your
inventory, and simply select the key. Other items are equip-able,
such as the Linus Helm and the Diamond Shield. These items will
better protect you or will raise your strength.

TALENTS

Every now and then you will become angry and become rash. This will
pump adrenaline through your body and you can cause massive damage to
your enemies. But through your carelessness, you can damage yourself as
well. Along your travels you will learn new talents. Whenever you use a
talent, you hurt your enemy drastically, but you slightly hurt yourself
as well. Be sure to have many Meads stocked up before using a talent.

SAVING

You can save your game by recording your progress in a book. You will
find these books along your travels. To save your progress, check the
book and then select a spot on your memory card that you would wish to
save your game to.

FAQ

"How do I play your games?"

You need a Sony Playstation, a copy of RPG Maker, a PC, a Dex Drive,
and a Memory Card. Visit my website for further details.

"I hear that Nissi-The Return of The Noths is the sequel to your first
game, Tsebaoth-The Nurith War. Must I have played Tsebaoth to
understand what is happening in Nissi?"

Well, yes and no. The storyline of Nissi is self-contained, in that
the events and major plot flow start and finish within the game.
However, being a sequel, the game often refers to events that
happened in Tsebaoth, or mentions people from Tseboath that are
never seen in Nissi. I recommend that you play Tsebaoth first before
playing Nissi. If you played Tsebaoth a long time ago, I recommend
re-playing it so you can refresh your memory. Nissi may be hard to
fully understand otherwise.

"I am playing through Nissi, and Storge looks awfully familiar.
Where have I seen it before?"

Well, you must have played my other game, The Tale of Cloran Hastings!
Hastings takes place within the world of both Tsebaoth and Nissi,
although none of the characters from these two games appear in Hastings.
Cloran visited the harbor at Storge and Brandy worked in the Jade
Unicorn, both of which you can fully explore in Nissi.

"Can I post Nissi on my website?"

E-mail me first, but I will probably say yes.

"Can I do fan art for your games?"

By all means! clutter up the Fan Art section of my webpage, please!
hehe
