    DS RPGs

Right now I'm playing through Final Fantasy V and...while I'm enjoying it, the story so far is pretty retarded. I just got past the part w/ Cid and Mid. "I slept like a top!" What the hell does that mean?

Contact never picked up for me and it was frustrating. Can anyone suggest to me some DS or GBA games with decent storylines? Thanks.

EDIT: crap, I have to pick up the new Phoenix Wright, nevermind.

I'm playing that one already, sheesh!

And this wasn't for the near future anyway. Moreso down the line when I'm done w/ FFV (which at my snails pace will probably be 6 months)

Golden Sun is a pretty good game, if you haven't played it already. Its pretty old now, but still I nice treat. More importantly its cheap.

yeah, I second Golden Sun. That's one the best RPG's I've played on the GBA. Besides that I'd suggest you try Tales of Phantasia, once you get used to the slow battle system, you get to like it and the story is pretty long and engaging too.

Oh and btw, Final Fantasy V is a GBA RPG, not a DS RPG. Or perhaps you meant Final Fantasy III?

                Golden Sun didn't impress me.

                FF6 Advance FOR REALZ.

                Final Fantasy Tactics too.

I hear those Fire Emblem and Mario & Luigi games ain't too shabby either.

I don't know about anybody else, but for me at least, Golden Sun is one of those games where you have to spend extra time fighting monsters if you want the best equipment. Though that wasn't the case once I got the ship in the sequel, as I got so freaking lost I wound up collecting more money than I'd ever need. The games are good, though, so long as you don't mind the heavy focus on puzzle-solving and how the story never truly climaxes. They're certainly the best-looking and best-sounding RPGs the GBA had to offer.

That game isn't on the GBA.

FF6 is supposed to drop in Feb 07.

I've heard rumors of a Mother compilation coming here that will have all three games.

                            for story?!

                            I dunno.

Golden Sun should be called Golden Fail.

I would look into lost magic.

I love the gameplay. and dueling is a blast.

I would recommend Final Fantasy III DS or Magical Starsign, but I'm not quite sure how you'd perceive those.

But yeah, Golden Sun is a good choice.
