Well, I have started getting into the monster/character making sequence and making battles, but my people they do a little damamge but i would like to have them do more, so i tweaked the monster stats and they got pwned. I tweaked the players stats and he didnt do any damage. I didn't want to use the made up characters, but i though i could remake the same stats as the pre-made people but then i though thats just changing there name. So basically what i ask for is like a umm i guess a equalizer grid. PLEASE HELP!!!

Re: Need some help.
To figure out how much damage per hit you want the monster to do to you then:
Monster STR = (Damage you want + Players DEF) - (Player Current Armor STR + Player Current Shield STR)
To figure out how much damage per hit you want the player to do to the monster then:
Player STR = (Damage you want + Monsters DEF) - Player Current Weapon STR
I have a battle system tutorial in here if you want to check that out that covers all statsLast edited by JPS; 12-12-2006, 04:41 PM.

Good advice...also...
It's usually better to make your characters, and set them in stone. When you tweak, just adjust the monster stats...raise/lower their M/P DEF by a tiny bit (at first), then go from there. If you don't select the heroes to be constant, then you'll get a big mess most of the time. Then build your enemies AROUND the hero stats.Last edited by Ωbright; 12-12-2006, 04:42 PM.

Yep, assuming you have no shields or armor, if you do add the total values of those to the "33"Last edited by JPS; 12-12-2006, 04:44 PM.
