Anyway, I found the problem. I have a virus/spyware scanner I bothered to look at. Ad-aware is good, but it freezes if it encounters a dangerous virus. This one didn't freeze at all, and overall was a lot more efficiant.
So yeah, the comp should be good now. I hate like 163 infected objects before. O_O I blame my brother.
How would that help? From my experience if you are already infected neither of those help.
Well if it was just affecting IE, which is possible, then those would work. He never mentioned if it was just IE or other programs as well. Of course, like he did anyway, he should also scan for viruses and such.
You might want to make sure none of those viruses it found have to be deleted manually. If it couldn't clean it and just quarantined the files, there is a chance you might have to look them up in a virus database to figure out how to manually delete them.
