I could never stand the original because of the terrible frame rate. I might give this a go if it recieves enough good buzz.

Source... You have to have Steam to do that right?

      No thanks...

I really enjoyed the original, I hope they don't **** it up.

What am I talking about? Well, let's see...I'm playing and the guy is on my screen. Next frame, he's gone! which way did he go? Not to mention the suckitude was multiplied by the fact that I was sectioned to a quarter of the screen.

That game had to run at 15, maybe 10 frames a second.

Okay, I get it. That was a BIG pain.

Damn Kire, don't let your current hate of nintendo cloud your judgement of the classics they did.

Dude, I don't hate Nintendo. Goldeneye was a decent shooter w/ 4 player, and that's more of a judgement on Rare. Hell, Perfect Dark Zero played just like Goldeneye, 'cept w/ better graphics. When it comes to "classics," you can't even come close to comparing this with Unreal Tournament or Quake II.

So you can distinguish things in a fraction of a second?
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

Sure, I can look at something and tell you if it's 60 or 30 fps, or if it's lower than 30 fps. The faster the gameplay is and the more important reaction time is in a game (like a first person shooter), you NEED to have at least 20-30 fps.

Quake II console versions weren't great. At all. Computer ftw. I still play it.

I'm talking about how you can see a guy appearing in one frame and disappearing in another frame when these frames are running at a fraction of a second.

I get what your saying but aren't being overly dramatic about it? I played Goldeneye and it was fun. Much more fun than being fragged by a sniper rifle five seconds into a Halo deathmatch.
