About reputation...

I have been told on my "User CP" that people have added to my reputaion. They are not displayed in thread and stuff. What must I do to display them?

Have you clicked on the little arrows at the end of that bar that says "Latest Reputation Received" ?

I'm sorry but you don't seem to understand what I'm asking. Look at a thread. Look in the area with the Avatar, User Name, Joining Date, and those little goblin guys in red hats. Can I get reputation recived to be added in the goblin-guy ares?

What are those red guys anyway?

The goblin guys (Goblis) represent how much reputation you've received, in hundreds. The mouse over comment changes every ten.

Instead of creating another thread and causing more clutter I figured I'd use this one since its kind of about the same thing I'm asking.

Is there any way an admin can please send me a copy of all the rep I've received? I need it for my Wiki for the notable posts section, I dont know if you can do this or not... but a copy/paste text file or PM is fine, it doesnt even have to be prettied up, I can deal with it if it comes out jumbled

Can't be done. When admins view the rep for people, this is what we see:



As you can see, unlike in your User CP, it does not show the thread/post you got the points for. it's a seperate link. Which means that if we were to give you this list, we'd have to manually copy all the URLs for the posts. While that isnt much trouble to do with someone without a lot of points, if we do it for you, then we have to do it for everyone who asks, which means some of the people with 500+ points may ask. and we'd have to do it to be fair. I don't want to open that kind of floodgate.

Occasionally, I will allow people to view all their rep points in their User CP for a while. However, this is always a huge drain on server resources because of all the extra work it has to do, so I only tend to do it when we haven't been pushing the server so hard and we have some extra bandwidth to play with without any risks of going over what I pay ahead of time. Since we are now on the beginning of a new month, and the bandwidth I paid for last month doesnt carry over to this month, I'd be risking overage charges later in the month if I did it right now. If you had asked this earlier today, or any previous day in the week, I would have done it in an instant because we were WAY below our pre-paid limit last month. This whole billing arrangement is the same reason we can do the new year's spam thread. we always get very low traffic around christmas, which gives us excess bandwidth for the rest of december, and most of the spam posts are made while it's still december.

did that make sense? I'm horrible at describing things.

yes Valk it makes perfect sense, I know your bandwidth issues and I didn't know exactly what you saw, thats why I didnt want to ask you to enable the all-rep thing, so its fine, I'll just start adding from todays date
