Back in the game and having problems...

Hi. Using Virk and the preset world, I edited the battle system to my liking (Removed all text except for damage notices; removed dodge and miss; added a winning music)... and with virk, everything tested out great!

So, I created my protagonist, a single enemy, and a map... I put that enemy into a unit and placed that unit within the map. I created a world organizational section for the map, I added the unit placement to the world creation and that's all good! However, no matter how long I walk around, or if I put up the encounter rate to 100 percent for 0-5 steps, I still don't encounter the enemy. I can fight it in a test battle just fine, but it doesn't appear on the map.

I have yet to add any objects or events to the map, as I was really focusing on adjusting the battle system to my liking before starting all that...

    Any thoughts?

PS. Though I have rather extensive experience with RPGM2, I'm sure that you'll see me around here often over the next year or so... I'm working an easy job and my wife is a student, so I've a lot of time on my hands... Anyways! TTYL!

I'm kinda new to RM2 but did you make sure that the enemy unti is on the correct type of land that you're on? Like, not in the sky or whatever?
(I ask because I play-tested the default map and noticed that you run into different things if you're in the "boat" or the "baloon")

I figured it out. With my last game, I only had indoor environments and thus I never used the map editor. I, thought logically about enemy positions on an overworld map and realized that there, of course, would be a location identifier for enemy groups... and, lo and behold, there was and I found it and it works! Yay!
