I'd have to go with Fall Out Boy only because of those 4, only they can get stuck in my head even though I dislike them. I blame those catchy drums.

^Exactly, I heard those songs on an alternative rock channel, and they play the boy bands on a pop channel, I guess if you live in a small community they throw everything into a mixed channel, I used to live in a pretty big city and they had a separate channel for almost any genre you could think of:lol

They are all ****ty, flavor of the week bands that will no make it past 5 years, nor make a single mark on the music scene at all.
They only do two things well, SUCK and DIE. Get a real band like KMFDM. **** like a million others. Just drop those and go with something thats got some "Street" cred.

I can't take KMFDM seriously, either.
I prefer first-wave industrial. Einsturzende Neubauten, early Laibach, SPK, the like.
I might be able to handle kmfdm is their lyrics weren't so terrible (in my opinion. The whole revolt-for-the-sake-of-revolt thing doesn't fly with me) and if they didn't name-drop themselves every other song and pretend to be tongue-in-cheek about it.
Plus, their new album is named Hau Ruck. Which makes me sad, since HauRuck! is the name of one of my favorite austrian militaristic music lables. I'm sure Albin from Der Blutharsch is pleased as punch about being associated with KMFDM now. x.x
Anarchy is a decent song though, and most of the MDFMK album is listenable. If I'm not mistaken, that's the one they "fired" most of the members for? That'd make sense for why the sudden upturn in quality happened. XD

Fall Out Boy probably should annoy me, but I really don't have an opinion on them either way. My general opinion on all bands like that is "Well, at least they aren't Panic! at the Disco."
I like them for what they are. A band that has a couple of songs I enjoy listening to on my iPod.

I do like Shinedown, and some of the harder rock bands out there.

Chevelle formed in 1999 - nearly 8 years ago
3 Days Grace formed in 2003 - Almost 4 years - only one under 5 years
Fall Out Boy formed in 2000 - almost 7 years ago
Yellowcard formed in 1997 - 9 years ago
The only band your post can touch concerning dying out in 5 years is 3 days grace, considering their last album release was June 13, 2006 and went platinum, I dont think they'll be going out of style anytime soon...
And Ive never heard of that other band:lol
