I've tried to install Eastern Language support onto my computer the legit way, but when I try, Windows asks for the Windows XP SP2 installation disc, and my laptop only came with a disc for Windows XP SP1.
If anyone knows how to get around this so my laptop can display Eastern characters, please let me know.

Download the SP2 installation disc off the internet and burn it to a CD? Is the service pack just a free update? I would think then you could download it.

You should be able to install eastern language support off the disc you have after you install SP2

It says it's Office XP SP 2. In any case, I already have Windows XP SP2 on my computer, it's just that it didn't come with the Eastern Language support.

Internet browsers can have their own language support, it's Windows itself I need the support for.
Most people can have their own sense of humor, it's John Mora himself that he needs the joke explained for.

Oh didnt see that, on the main page it didnt say office
go search for a program called Nlite.
Then just download Service pack 2 (search the windows update catalog for the offline install)
Nlite will let you make a slipstream disk of WinXP with SP2 right with it.
Not sure if this will work but you can try it

Either that or he got the joke, just didn't find it funny.

Bingo.
And I'll try that Nlite thing when I have a spare disc handy.
