Curse you Best Buy & FYE!

Why is it so hard for them to have the latest volume of Case Closed on the shelf, but it is so easy to have 8 copies of the Cased Closed movie and 5 copies of Volume 2. But nothing else in that series?!

    AGH!!!!

I went to both Best Buys and Fye and nothing. Went there 3 days later and still nothing. And the employees are not helpful. I ask the one if they got the newest one in.

He checks the shelf....well dang, why didn't I think of that. And then he tells me that is all he has....until I notice on his little cart that he has other volumes of Cased Closed....sadly none of which are the newest one.

In the other Best Buy, he tells me they have it on their site.

What is the point of going to a store now a days? Ugh...sorry for the rant, but it is one of my favorite anime series to watch, and yet I can't get it when I want to.....

Quick question, is the lastest volume out yet? Cause that would explain why they don't have it on the shelf.

Just checking. I go to the actual store because Best Buy's website is horrible.

Id ask to talk to a manager and see if they can special order it for you, granted it may cost a little more but Im sure theyd do it if they could make a little more money.

Thay have access to ordering them for the store, they just choose not to

Why do that when you can just order it online?

No credit card, and personally I hate waiting. Call me impatienced, but I believe that the day after the release date, it should be in the stores.

And don't fill the space with 8 copies of the same dvd.

I guess I am just unlucky in NC when it comes to getting anime on dvd. Suncoast closed down, even if their prices were too high.

My solution was that I just stopped buying anime.

working for a movie store, I can honestly say anime releases mean so little to the folks ordering titles that they sometimes slip under the radar. for instance, unless we have reservations for a specific title, we just won't order it. and in the case of anime DVDs that were supposed to be in stock on the 28th, are you aware that a billion different Superman movies came out on one day?
example, at my store, we had so many copies of Superman to check in that we weren't able to get through about half of the stock, and what with Pirates coming out, you can forget about your precious anime titles for a little while.
it's sad to say, but majority rules in these cases, and anime fans are far from the majority.

If you have a checking account, get a debit card, it works just like a credit, and takes out the money automatically. And some places even do check by mail.
