I've always wanted to try Tobal 2. I'll have to get a Japanese PS first. Or be willing to do that freaking swap-trick-whatever.

We had a cheap mod for the newer model PS1, it works alright. I'm pretty sure I picked up a copy of Tobal No.1, although I can't say it held my interest for too long. I guess I should give it another try.

As clunky as Tobal No1 was, Tobal2 made things so much nicer. I still believe that's the only fighting game to make the best use of the analog sticks as far as tapping directions goes. Other games have you tap it twice to do a move, and it feels really weird, plus I always screw up and accidentally press a different direction. Games like soul calibur, dead or alive, ect. I hated it. Tobal2 on the other, press a direction quickly, it counts as one tap, but press it a little slower (not too slow) and it counts as 2 taps, making it so moves are a lot smoother to pull off.
