I am just wondering what everyone thinks partly for nostolgia and partly so I can buy them really cheaply online. There was about a billion games for the psone and I can't remember them all. Well I guess if you just wanted to make an all time PSOne game list that would suffice.

Xenogears, Final Fantasy Tactics, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX, and Suikoden.
Those are all in my top 50 games.

Parasite Eve - it's a weird one from Square. The battle system is pretty damn awesome. You can modify your weapons and armor, and your best weapon and armor will carry over to your new game once you finish. You can also try to tackle the Chrysler Building. I love the visuals, the gameplay, and the music.
Einhander - Another one from Square. This time it's a shooter. I play a lot of shooters, since they were one of my favorite arcade genres back in the days of my youth. Even though I love Gradius/Parodius and the 1942 series, Einhander beats all of them due to the variation in selection of ship types and the "pick-up" weapons. It also has one of the most bad-ass soundtracks ever. I still play this a lot, especially once I discovered that you can still do damage with an unloaded "manipulator." I have yet to unlock all the bonus stuff.
EDIT - Also Silent Hill. It's very unique and challenging. Great atmosphere & music, especially for a PS1 game. I've replayed it about 5 times, although I only recently unlocked the damn Katana. *stabs groaner dogs*Last edited by Nixon; 11-29-2006, 04:46 PM.Eat Smello.Comment

Vagrant Story - engrossing storyline and great gameplay.
Ten Pin Alley - best bowling physics ever, and one of the best bowling games ever.
Tekken 3 - Since 4 was kind of a bust, this is your best bet other than Tag and 5.
Castlevania: SOTN: Even though I can't play any other Castlevania game after this, it was a great time. Lovely soundtrack.

LOL. Half of the time, I had no clue what the story was, but I loved those skills that built on each other in battle and getting the timing right was sweet.
Oh, MYST was another PSOne I game I loved. It was originally a computer game. You use your controller to control a mouse on screen figuring out the mysteries of this island that you find yourself on. A warning on Legend of Dragoon, you'd better be playing it on a PS one.
PS2s, whether slim or fat, are notorious for not being able to read its discs.So you're a fish out of water...

Brave Fencer Musashi: Sure as hell isn't the Zelda-killer Square said it would be, but has lots of fun moments, anyway. The assimilations are cool, and the boss fights are pretty awesome. There are some ****** jumping puzzles, though.
Threads of Fate: Colorful and whimsical. Kind of like Musashi, but better in every way. Unfortunatley, it's shorter, too.
Valkyrie Profile: It's like the best looking 2D RPG, or one of them. I think it's great and deep, but some would call it overtly complex.
and
Ape Escape: It's lots of fun to play with all of the gadgets. I can't think of any other 3D platformers on the PSone that stacked up to this.

God I love the Playstation. Easily my most favorite console ever.
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. Great game, though a tad on the difficult side, but really rewarding. The first of my trio of favorite games.
Suikoden II. The second of the trio of sequels that are my favorite games. Great story, great characters, great minigames.
Tales of Eternia aka Tales of Destiny 2 (in the US). Crap story but great characters and one of the most fun and insane battle systems ever.
Castlevania: SOTN. THE Castlevania.
King's Field II. Just plain fun, but it takes some getting used to.
