There's a website out there that tells you what names have been officially copyrighted when you're doing searches, but I'm not sure what it's called. Do a search for 'copyright database' and see what happens.

What makes yout "T-Shirt" company better than the other countless T-Shirt companies?
Demographic?
My advice is to just plan all processes, and expiriment with everything. Everyone I know thinks you can just print off pictures on your inkjet and have an "awesome shirt".
You mean that you want to be a t-shirt designer, not a t-shirt logo designer? From the way you said you want to make shirts that video game or anime characters wear, what do you mean? You mean actual shirt designs, non-exclusive to t-shirts, or logo designs?

So... instead of cool things from our universe, you want cool things that made-up characters would wear. That's... weird. In a good way. Hard to market, but cool.
I don't know. I have no clue how to approach this.
