Happy Thanksgiving. This brings back memories. My first post ever was in last years Thanksgiving thread, and despite my newbiness and lateness, Valkysas was gracious and gave me rep. Thanks Valkysas.

I'm testing the effectiveness of the current admins.
there are instructions in the staff forum on how to update the site, and all the admins seem to be ignoring them, in addition to at least one game in the submission forum that's been ignored by november.
I'm not happy about this, especially since I just added a new website staff member (who is the one I'm primarily testing). some people (including the admins) may say that I should tell them to update, but if I have to tell them, I might as well just do it myself.
Yeah, I would've signed up for staff so I could help with that sort of thing, but I figure that being staff would mean having to keep things cool in the forums, and I don't want to deal with that.

I am an Admin but I always figured it was just for keeping the forums in line. I thought website update staff was different. Also I somehow completely missed the post with instructions on how to do these things.
Find out new things every day. Plus I'm much more comfortable editing the actual backend, never really trusted content management systems too much. Of course I'm also busy reviewing the RPG Maker games for the contest.
But now that I am confirmed to have the power, I'll help update. Didn't want to overstep my bounds.
Plus if I can look at the code for vBulletin somewhere I could add in some spoiler vBCode (already did for phpBB boards, I would just need to figure out how vB does their code substition). Also working on a chat for phpBB boards, which works pretty well right now, but still needs some extra features before it's ready for release, so if it's easy to change it to do login checks for vBulletin we could have a new chat (though of course this is much more complicated than just adding in a new vBcode tag). Of course it's still about a month off of being release ready.
Okay, to clear up the confusion, my post was not about Gloomy or Truecoolness. It's about someone I expressly told their job involved updating the games.
