Re: Final Fantasy VI Advance Scans
Looks like they're pulling the same stunt that they did with Anthology, including a CD of "Final Fantasy's Finest". Think they got it right this time?
Nice to see the graphics at least remain unchanged for it. It looks good enough without changing how it looks. Hope they don't change the title screen again. FF4 Advance's looked bland without the black background and crystal, and I can only assume FF5 Advance's is lacking the cool watery reflection of the title. FF6's title screen is too awesome to change to the typical white screen."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Ah, no worries then. Aside from potential music quirks (though I think FF4 is the only one that sufferred buzzing notes so far) and timing issues during the screen-transition-intensive 21-minute ending. Speaking of music, I hope they don't try to change FF6's music. The remixed songs are welcome in FF1-5, but FF6's music is already plenty good enough."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. If it aint broke don't fix it, huh? I don't see how better versions of good music ends up being a bad thing. I feel the same way about the translation and graphics.
And V Advance didn't have any buzzing notes or timing issues or slow down in gameplay so I'm pretty confident that VI Advance will be just as good of a port.

Re: Final Fantasy VI Advance Scans
I hardly think that adding a new dungeon, remixing some music, improving the translation, and giving you some new features to mess with could classify as making it a different game. I'd argue that a game with the same graphics, same gameplay elements, same world and dungeon design, same characters and plot, and same compositions couldn't classify as a "different game" no matter how hard those features were pushed, and even if it somehow did, I don't see why that would matter unless they changed everything and really, really badly ruined it. Which I don't see happening.
