Help with a photo editing program....

    Help with a photo editing program....

    So It turns out I have one of these things on my comp, one "Paint shop 7".
    I have no idea how to perform a particular action and the help thingy on the program itslef isn't helping, so I Thought you guys could help. I think someone who had used this one could help, although any advice would be appreiciated. Now, the problem. I'm trying to cut out and resize a piece of a .jpg image. But the "cut" command just cuts the whole thing out. Please help me!


    EDIT: Oh, is this the right forum for this? if not please move it.

    Strange, that doesn't seem to happen for me. Although, I have PSP 8. Anyway, the only thing I can think of is that maybe you didn't have anything selected. If you don't, it assumes you mean "the whole image."

      Okay, well I figured out how to cut it. And I did so. Now if I resize it, it includes the cut part as part of the image. Now how do I get rid of that empty space? As in, make it so what I have left is the image, and not have the background.

        Crop?
        The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

            Cut: In computer terms, cut is used to remove something, and store it in memory for later pasting. You do not want to cut.

            Crop: In printing terms, cropping is removing an area of image or document around the portion you want to keep.

            So, uh, yeah. Crop that son of a *****.

                Well I figured it out. Check out my new ava! That's what's left over from the original image.
