Which TV show are you reffering to?

Well my peeves is the MASSS ADVERTISING of a particular show/movie; ie the WHOLE TRAILERS during a TV show, I have a 6 minute commercial, let me watch Law and Order dangit.

When an important lead role is cocky, thinking he's super-great when he pretty much gets the crap beaten out of him at least once nearly every episode. Annoying personalities should be reserved for the side characters.

All those CBS shows (Cold Case, Without a Trace, CSI et al, Numbers, etc-mostly the ones from Bruckheimer), from the little of them I've seen, seem to have really stilted dialogue and cardboard cut-out characters. The dialogue all seems really scripted, like they are reading off of cue cards, and talking like how a writer thinks people should talk, not how a person would actually talk. My girlfriend and my buddy Eric both like these kind of shows, but I cannot watch them without ripping on them for how plastic and fake they feel. Now, I'll grant you my favorite show, 24, has some massively implausible situations, but at least the characters are written well, and it sounds like how a person would actually talk given the situation they are in. That is all.
