For some reason, I'm not getting to see which threads have new posts. Why might that be?

I dont know, but I know I have a similar problem to where either the new post icon stays up even after I read it or the new post doesnt come up at all...it doesnt really bother me because more then likely if my name isnt in the right side then theres a new post
