Make sure you read the write-up I did on it in the articles section. Otherwise you may find your memory card suddenly corrupted, or essentially destroyed.

I actually have the article saved onto my bookmarks. I made sure to take my time and read it before I actually bought the max-drive, and I have an extra memory card to play with, just in case it becomes currupted. Question, if the file is currupted, the memory card is still okay, right?

if a file is corrupted, you can just delete it and it'll be okay.

if the card itself gets corrupted, press square at the main menu to re-format the card.

first thing you should do is use the max drive to copy (one by one) the saves from the memory card you're going to use to the storage device, so you have a backup just in case something goes wrong.

it's very rare that the max drive will do any damage to any files when you're copying them from the memory card to whatever storage device. most problems come up when you're putting files on the memory card.

The worst thing that the max drive software can do to your memory card happens occasionally when you use the "move" command. after moving a file, it may immediately go back to the device manager screen, where you'll notice the memory card no longer shows up. if this happens, nothing will ever be able to detect that memory card again. not your PS2, not any games, it's just forever useless.

Never use the "move" command.
