    Losing Patience

Did everyone else feel this way when they first started this game? It seems the more and more I explore the more and more confused I get, I was only successfully able to create a car (woohoo) and i couldnt figure out how to color it, I tried but besides the default blue the only other color i could color it is red/black(the body was black and the windshield/rims was red)

Also is there a way to get a blank project? you have beg, med, hard and they all have default areas/items/characters

sorry about ranting but I can create PC games in VB without a problem, which is pretty hard to do....but I mean I have everything laid out in neat little boxes and tabs in this game and Im totally clueless on what to do

Here I come Pav, like the Kool-Aid man barging into a funeral! Oh yeah!

I felt the same way, yeah.

It's kinda like looking at small portions of a big picture, and it confuses you on what the picture says, but once you've seen the whole picture, everything else starts to 'click' into place. It becomes easier once you've toyed with a little bit of everything.
    I love lamp.

Look at all the sample stuff. See how it's put together. Change some things; see what happens. That's probably the best way for you to learn.

            Re: Losing Patience

I started reading this ungodly huge FAQ last night and started catching on a little...but man....come on...the map editor uses all these button combinations, you have triangle+up, trangle+down, R3+directional and like 20 other combinations.......I need to type up a button sheet and keep it next to me

I think Ill be alright with this game..........eventually

              Re: Losing Patience

I think the manual lists most of the button combinations for you. If not, the guide certainly does (and is the prime reason I use it). Anyway, to answer questions:
I was only successfully able to create a car (woohoo) and i couldnt figure out how to color it, I tried but besides the default blue the only other color i could color it is red/black(the body was black and the windshield/rims was red)
Unfortunately, you can't really change the colors of objects. Trying to change its color only subtracts the color you're not trying to add to it. Or something like that. Essentially, adding, say, green to the color, takes the model's default R/G/B and subtracts the Red and Blue. The less green there is in the object's default color, the darker the end result will be.
Also is there a way to get a blank project? you have beg, med, hard and they all have default areas/items/characters
Hard starts you with a blank project. Or as blank as possible. By default, you can't have a game that doesn't have a starting party and a starting position, so you'll still get a useless Virk and a very basic island map. But starting on hard also gets rid of almost all the default battle system scripts, so unless you don't intend on using the DBS, you'll want to start on Normal, and get rid of the extra stuff manually.
"What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

                Re: Losing Patience

Ok thanks for the advice, as I dont have a clue on how to set up DBS's, Ill stick with Normal

And I dont have a manual or anything and I cant print out one from screenshots like someone gave me a link for because my black cartridge port on my printer is shot, so I have to print everything out in red, green or blue to read it so I'm kinda stuck on that

                  Re: Losing Patience

At first it's hard, next you'll be making your own scripts and Felling really awsome. Don't let all the map buttons get you down, it all kind of just starts coming to gather when your working on it, and you don't have to think about them all that much.

Best advise was already given. Just look at the samples and see how things work. At first it looks weird but you will start putting togather the meanings.
