So yeah, Xeno and I got to our polling station this morning and we were told that we were not registered. I told them that I had voted in the last 2 elections and that Xeno voted in the last one, so we should show up somewhere, right? Wrong. They insisted if we had voted we would have shown up in the records...so we were turned away and were told to bring our voter cards er something.

So yeah, I have no idea where my voter card is. I suppose I should have re-registered to make sure a **** up wouldn't happen er something.

EDIT: so yeah, my mom called me and said I'm registered over in my hometown.

I got something in the mail last week that said even if unregistered, you still have a right to vote.

Yeah, supposebly if you have a utility bill or something similar along with your driver's liscense then you can vote.

My sister voted in the last election, but they insisted she never voted before aswell. But they messed up her registeration five times, so that might be the problem.

Nnno, it's just paperwork.

I didn't realize I had to reregister to vote after I moved 2 miles away. That caused some problems. But yeah, calling people and covering all your bases before election day is a good idea.

and, as predicted, my vote resulted in the Democrats taking the house and senate.

Well the Senate is still up for grabs, and probably will be unless the Virginia election isn't very close. If it's within .5% there will be a recount, and we all know how long those take. Right now it's within about 20,000 or so.
