I voted at 7:30 in the morning. I was the only person under 40 in there, and I was the 36th person in the township to vote. Woo hoo! I did my duty!

Re: I'm a good American
blah voting doesnt make you a good american, the government just rigs the elections anyways *cough*florida*cough*
Im 100% against voting, forget voting, I'm not willingly going to tell someone that they can run my life, I mean yeah they do it anyway but if something bad happens I cant kick myself in the butt and say "I shouldnt have voted for that loser"

MAYBE in presidential elections you almost have a point.blah voting doesnt make you a good american, the government just rigs the elections anyways *cough*florida*cough*

But in state elections and on things like bond issues and proposals (which is what this election is mostly about) your vote matters a GREAT deal.

What a crock of ****. If you're not going to vote don't make excuses about why your not. Just accept that you're a bum. Like me unless I magically appear as a registered voter then I'm not voting today. And I'm a bum for it.Originally posted by JPS Innovations View Postblah voting doesnt make you a good american, the government just rigs the elections anyways *cough*florida*cough*

Well they all play dirty...bashing each other and what-not, and a lot of those accusations are extremely exaggerated, I mean if they go through all the trouble of bashing someone whos just as equally or more qualified then them, then why should I vote for them?Originally posted by Sampson View PostMAYBE in presidential elections you almost have a point.

Those bashing commercials are just a sign of weakness, theyre scared of losing, and namecalling and exposing half-truths shows nothing but their own desperation, ignorance and unreliability
and yes county votes matter a lot, especially around here when our voter turnout for our town last year was 26but i stand corrected with your point made
EDIT TO ADD: I kinda take offense at being called a bum, but hey, if not voting makes me a bum, then so be it, but Im not changing my views on the matter over being called a bum
