Series of Unfortunate Events - End (SPOILERS INSIDE!)

Has anyone else finished the series beside myself?

I don't know what to think about the ending.

    SPOILERS:

It leaves a lot of unanswered questions, such as the sugar bowl, poison darts, the truth behind their parents death, what caused the schisme, and so on.

You would think that the children would be having some health problems by the time they leave the island.

Sad about Kit, but Olaf's death is a mixed bag. I feel sad and glad at the same time. It almost seems he suffered the same fate as the children in his life. But chose a different path.

But in the end, it seemed that all the problems and conflicts were just never solved. As if not knowing was the most unfortunate event yet in the childrens and reader's lives.

I read the spoilers anyway, even though I havent read the last one yet. That **** sucks. That series has just been depressing the whole way. One bad thing after another. It seems that will never end. *sigh* Anyway, I have yet to read the last book. I shall have to find it soon. ****. I actually thought something good was gonna happen at the hotel, and then they spring you-know-what on us. It's just plain disturbing how awful these kid's lives are. But enough of my rambling. Enjoy.

I was really hoping that Lemony Snicket would have adopted the children at the end.

It is really stupid that he just decided to not tell about the big question mark that apparently either ate or saved the triplets and the submarine or explain what was so important about the sugar bowl.

Now I have to say, there are a lot of conflicting plot points that don't make sense.

One is that the writer hinted at Lemony Snicket being dead. Which in itself doesn't make sense.

Another is that the sugar bowl belong to Olaf's girlfriend, but seemed be the central reason behind the schisme that first divided the VFD. But that in itself is confusing since they say the schisme happen before Olaf and the children's parent's time.

So all you are left with is a lot of unanswered questions that drag the mood even futher down.

        Edit:

Oh and I thought the hotel was going to be the real ending, with all the people they knew in their past coming together in one place. A grande ending that would have saved them all and answered all the questions....but no....

Re: Series of Unfortunate Events - End (SPOILERS INSIDE!)

I am so tired of seeing this book....I work at the printing plant that manufactures this book, since august we've printed about 2 million copies

NOTE I think snickets planning on releasing one more book, if you read his bio of lemony snicket in the back it states "he is the author of all 170 chapters of a series of unfortunate events, he is almost done" and somewhere(im not sure where) it says something to the effect of "the end is not the end, but the end is just the beginning of another end" or something like that, i cant remember

anyhow, i think he has one more book up his sleeve, itd be stupid not to make another book, he has given hints in this book, subtle, but hints nonetheless that book 13 wont be the last book, and as you stated he left a lot of stuff unanswered, i doubt seriously he would leave 13 books hanging at the end like that, maybe he wants you to get your doubts down, after all, it is supposedly the last book....then he'll hit you with another book, probably wont be called Book 14 but something else, and people is going to swarm to get it to find out all the answers
