I've been thinking about using a puppy for an easter egg in one of my games for a while now, so I voted for puppy. As a hint to people playing A Series Aside, this easter egg is included in the game.

They're models. Sprites are transparent, 2-dimensional images that generally move (like Megaman in the Megaman games). Models are 3d. Sorry, I just feel like being an ass today.

EDIT: And why no Treant love? Those other ones have nothing on the TR33M4NN.

Even though I voted for the puppy, the Treant was a close second. But a treant is not really an animal, though, is it? It's closer to a vegetable.

Okay, look, IMHO sprites=models and since I've been playing games no one has ever decided to make a big deal outta it (so sorry if I offended ya)

And real world semantics DO NOT carry over into the realm of RPGs. Yeah, Treants are prolly more vegatable than anything but they belong to the animal class of "models" so that's why they're here.

Should I eliminate the Frog since its color 4 pattern makes it metallic and is therefore a mineral???

Lizardman. The werewolf comes in a close second, but the lizardman is the only humanoid character with a tail. Although I think the birdman might have tailfeathers, but those don't count.

I prefer the Birdman. Actually, it`s one of the playable caracters in my game and was one of them before I start making my game(when my story was just an idea in my head). In second place comes the wolfman and third the lizardman. All of the other animals are in the fourth place.

I said gorilla, just cause i like style 4 2d...

but I use the puppy a lot, so it was a tie, but I use gorilla's more for versatility then the puppy, which is usually a NPC or weak party character

...and how many RPG Makers did you have to wait through till you could make a Birdman?! (Well, I think 2...) That's why I picked the Lizardman! Sure, you could ugly up a dragon in 1 but its not the same! Plus in 2 it was hard to tell exactly what you were looking at anyway, so until this point in time (a couple years ago) the thousands of pleas from anguished RPG Maker fans had gone unheaded and in one glorious moment a pure light shined down on us all granting that which we most coveted: the ability to make goril- I mean Lizardman heroes!!!

That's generally what they're called, though. Well, lizard man, with a space in the race name usually. But that's the generic name for them. Gives you the chance to come up with some special race name of your own.
