So, I bought Suikoden Tactics and I haven't got a chance to play it. Is it worth 15 bucks to a tactics lover or should I quick return it while it's wrapped?

Re: Suikoden Tactics.
The element affinity game isn't too hard... the easiest way to beat it is to change her element to yours, as she tends to cast on empty squares. Make sure you're stocked up on fire/rage force beads before entering the game so you can use one each turn. If I remember right, it's 5 turns so you'll need 5 beads.

Owls are great too!Originally posted by hitogoroshi View PostBUMP
The whole permadeath thing makes me redo battles I'd usually win, but I am nontheless loving this game.
Suikoden Tactics has taught me that even sick men can ride kangaroos.
And yes, I've restarted many battles after watching someone fall. Everytime someone dies I just cross my fingers and hope for the, I-don't-want-to-get-hurt exit from battle.

Re: Suikoden Tactics.
Owls are meh to me. I use them in the opening of a battle with Reivhelt to get him where he needs to go, then have him dismount and First Style people to obvlion.
On a related note, don't you love how you can choose who you use and what you do? I mean, I might replay just to do it totally different. Right now, Trishtan is one of my best characters, and he certainly goes well on a Kangacorn. High health makes him good to rush in, and his low rune ability doesn't matter since the Kangacorn Rune just has Rush and Kangacorn Spirit (which I LOVE).Last edited by hitogoroshi; 11-08-2006, 09:41 PM.
