    RM2 Dungeons & Dragons

I'm made up my mind so here's a teaser.

It's a DND game in which your every action triggers an event.
Making a simple 6 step move might trigger a battle with a monster or drinking a supposably healing potion might make s/he fatigued or what ever. But the main story is this:It's however you want it to be.You can be a hero or a villain, you can be a warrior or a merchant. Basicly this game is a test of ones moral life, be that real or not real. So what do ya think. I need your opinions.

Hmm... cool. Will you be able to pull it off, though.

I made Series 1 with an alignment system (play as good or evil), and two different guilds you could join (fighter's or mage's), so it sounds a little similar to this idea. You will probably need a decent amount of variables to make this, but more importantly, you will have to be a master of RPGM3's code to make it work-not like that's that hard, though (I'm guessing you are making this for RPGM3 since you never specified). You will more than likely need val. cond. branches inside of val. con. branches inside val. cond. branches. And it might cause you a few headaches keeping track of all those branching paths. And if you make this in the slightest bit open-ended, that's even more of a headache. It can be done, though. If you like, download Series 1, go to the edit screen, look at my code, and if you have any questions on how I did something, I'll be happy to answer.

          Re: RM2 Dungeons & Dragons

I prefer real DnD. Much easier to keep open-ended

But seriously, don't call it DnD, because comparing your game to DnD is something you never want a DnD player to do. It doesn't matter how good you are, it's impossible. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is the closest gaming has got to DnD, and you can't make another Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

I'm sorry, but if I played your game I'd think the whole time "Why shouldn't I just play real DnD?" Now, I certainly applaud the idea, but please, change the name.

Disregard my last post. I did not read the title of you post carefully enough, and did not realize this was being made with RPGM2. Sorry. I'll be more careful next time.

              How 'bout this?

I'll just make it a RM3 game with a different name. How 'bout...

              MAGIC & STEEL

However unlike Perversion's idea, I'll put in more guilds and classes.
It won't have the semi-turnbased movement, but it'll give the player more freedom to move around a map.
Also if you find a "?" item, you can equip it and see what it is but that'll be too risky(remember that "supposably" healing potion?), so you're gonna have to find an alchemist to find out what it is.

I say Good Idea. Why? Because it's your idea, and you've made a decision to do it. One of the most important things is to have a great time making it. Cool.

Wait. Why RM3? 2 is so much more appropriate for what you want to do.

By the way, who in the hell said that this was a bad idea in the poll? At least tell him why.

...it is for RPGM2. And yeah, this sounds cool. If a demo gets out, I'll play it.

Oh, missed that. Umm...no. Just no. Whenever you want to make something that expansive for RPGM3, just say to yourself "Only 20 events per location. Only 20 events per location."
