Hey, it's been a while... I wonder if anyone here recognizes me or not. I haven't been here in forever, or done anything with any of the RPGMs in like a year. I got fairly far with my game Hell Bent, there's a demo here at http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/...ead.php?t=2093 (Warning: not for the little kiddies.) Recently I've been wanting to start it up again and hopefully finish. I wonder if anyone would be interested, though, since the first one is way past its prime; most people either take the easy & new route with RPGM3 or the hard but versatile RPGM2. I have both, but there's just an endearing quality about the original that I love. Anyone else share this? Should I finish this game or would it be a waste that nobody plays?

Re: Any RPGM1 love left?
It's up to you really. If you feel you don't want to work on this game then don't. If you're having fun with it, sure, continue with the project.
I'd suspect a few members here would like to play RPG Maker games, but a lot of us would rather play "real" games. Like with me. I'm getting a little tired of RPG Maker after playing it for 3 years and I would like to play with my PS2 games that have been sitting in the dust for awhile. But hey, if your game happens to be good, I may check it out.

Re: Any RPGM1 love left?
There's something about RPG Maker 1 that has a unique feel to it. It could be that I'm used to that style of 2D RPG playing because that's what I grew up playing, but it is really something special.
I don't have a Dex Drive, and my PS2 has problems reading my PS1 disks and the blue back PS2 disks. Otherwise, I would be messing around with that much more." I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me. " - Jesus

Re: Any RPGM1 love left?
RPG Maker 1 is still my fave RPGM. RPGM2 may have power, RMXP may have power and ease of use, and RPGM3... RPGM2 and XP may be good, but RPGM1 will always be my fave. It's real fun trying to get around its limitations, IMO. I'd actually like to think of myself as a master on it, but I'm sure there's a few things I still need to improve on. Anime Maker, for example. Heck, relatively recently, I thought about reviving an old game I last worked on in 2003, for the umpteenth time."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
