I just got off from a nice long day with many of my fellow Pavvies.

The game is fiendishly addictive, and very fun. To avoid further confusion on my part, the character Pikagirl is yours truly....me. Also, I have another character named Nadie who is a force--based off an old character from PSO that I made. I plan on making two more characters to represent a Beast and a CAST--both of whom will be males.

Right now, Pikagirl is my priority, so I'm most likely going to be using her. So ... any newcomers who mosey on over to the PS2 or PC version of PSU, say hi when you see me. I'm the tall girl with the pigtails, the bright clothing and the cutest smile you'll ever see :D

Okay, dont hestiate to create grinders, seriously, the more you create, the better they become and the less chance of failure. I started with +1 grinders, then +1, and i just made some +7, and created some new lightning based gloves, so i can kick ass somemore.

Yeah, I'm always afraid to take my weapons to get them grinded. Because there's a HUGE chance that the process will screw up and I'll lose what I worked months for in one fraction of a nanosecond.

I got a lot to learn about all that, though, since one-handed sabers are my favorite weapons.

well, you have 2 planets and the guardian base open, the basic weapons are available, and apparently some of the more exotic weapons will be opened up by going to higher levels in the missions.

Hopefully you dont have to play the single player to unlock any stuff, but i dont know for sure.

I'm sure there is going to be more available soon, either unlocked or updates from Sega.

I'm loving the game so far, and there is so much cool stuff to do.

So me and a buddy made it to level 5 over the weekend, and he was ****ing around ina shop last night, dropped his game pad and bought a 2000mesta armour suit....I have never seen him so ******. I laughed...alot.

But much like everyone else, I agree that this game was a great purchase. lots of cool stuff to buy, kill, and do.

I just bought a couple of weapons for a Ranger Cast to try them out.

Shotgun: 3-part shot, only good at strictly mid range from a group of enemies, not for everyone. Can't strafe while firing it, and can't aim in first person.

Machine gun: Expends ammo rapidly, and has short range. You can strafe and maneuver while firing, but you can't aim it in first person. Arguably makes for a better secondary weapon than a Handgun.

Dual Machine gun: Haven't tried it.

Rifle: Standard weapon with lots of ammo and good range, and you can aim with it in first person. You can't strafe while firing it, though. This'll be my main.

Handgun: Ammo is replenished almost as much as it's used, so it's economical, but it's weak. You can aim in first person and you can strafe while firing. I'd leave this as a secondary for Hunters.

Dual Handgun: Same as above, except with 2 it depletes ammo faster, but it's twice the power.

Partisan: Most powerful melee weapon a level 1 ranger could get, but it's 2-handed. Those looking to switch to Hunter after Ranger might try starting with this.

I was using the Soda Brekka that good old Smurv gave me and decided to buy a Photon Art for it. The TORNADO BREAKER!

So now I have TWO weapons to use. I'm also considering using Dual Sabers the next time, too.

I plan to use bows but going to stick with rifles until they let us play the advance classes ...Not really sure why bows count as a force exclusive weapon.

I'm loving Dagger/machine gun combo. Fast damage and so rapid. It's also good for claiming exp from a large group. Very fun.

If anyone has any "parts" or "armor" that they could spare, I would be very grateful for any. I want to raise my bot's armor rating so I can create better armor.

Oh, and just so you guys know: I have another character--a force named Nadie that I may start up soon. I thought about changing Pikagirl to a Force, but I chose to make another character instead because that's how I do it in the 'hood, y'all.

Besides, my Pikagirl's doing well as a LV5 Rank Hunter, so why change a good thing?!

PIKA SHOP, a subsidiary of Pikagirl, is now officially open for business to all Pavvies who play with me and have my Partner card. I bought the 15000 ticket with the Meseta I earned during my countless Relic runs. I owe the Pavvies who took part in the contribution and success of the PIKA SHOP's establishment my sincerest gratitude. Gomen minnasan!

Unfortunately, at the moment, I'm still setting up shop, and I don't have a whole lot of items to sell--save for a few Photons and items for synthesis. I also plan on putting up some Moon Atomizers for anyone who don't wanna pay full price for them. I promise you--my wares will come cheap and the prices--reasonable!

So, anybody who's got my Partner Card and can visit my pad, stop by and feel free to take a gander at my merchandise. I'll put up random items daily whenever I log on. I will also abide by requests--if I have the item in stock. And sorry, I don't give refunds.

Need some help from anybody who's been there.

I just got a brand-spankin' new Pallasch and want to add some Grinders to it, but when I tried to do that, it wouldn't let me use the Grinder Bases. I was just wondering if Grinder Bases only work with synthesized weapons, or is there something I have to do first?

I haven't synthesized ANYTHING since playing PSU, and I wanna at least make ONE WEAPON, DAMMIT!

This game is awesome. The only thing I don't like about this game aside from its SLOW grinding was the chat filter.

You can't say "100" but you can say "buttpirate". You can't say "lemonade" but you can say a lot more dirty stuff like certain girly parts. The chat filter sucks ass. Might as well allow everyone to curse.

Whew, well I'm officially starting up my Force character Nadie, but my time will still mostly be spent on Pikagirl.

Huge shout out to Vonwert for helping Nadie out tonight. She appreciates the spankin' new staff. It'll help her a lot when she levels her Photon magic.

I hope the online game is a lot more fun. After Monster Hunter I'm not real hot on games that offer no challenge above being time-consuming. I suspect I'll make a tiny HuCast chick and use axes and swords.

I got a request for any of you guys who have some free time on their hands to help.

Would you be willing to do a bunch of "create a cast" then remove their parts and armor and put them in storage. Then when you have a good large quanity, let me have them? Once I get my PM up in armor levels I can start making armor for you guys.

For this effort, I will be willing to provide any items you might need or looking for.

Right now, my PM is in dragon state, and I am focusing on armor now.

So if i had a weapon that has a 50% chance of successfully synthesizing, but had my attack(orwhatever it is called) skill for my PM at 10 or something, it would increase the success rate?

Yeap, raising strike will raise the chances of making blade weapons.

Range raises the chances of making guns.

Technic raises wands and such.

Armor raises armor.

That is why I focused on those two. Some people raise their PM stats to complement them in battle, but since we usually fill out the party, there wouldnt' be that much room for a PM anyways.

When exactly does a PM become an extra party member, per se?

At any rate, look for me to log on around 3:00 or 4:00 Pacific Western Time after work.

My PSU To Do List:

1. Get to Level 33 if possible.
2. Get my PM to at least 20
3. Make more meseta
4. Juice up a couple more of my Photon Arts.

Something I won't be doing anytime soon--Grinding. I heard that it doesn't even make a lick of difference if your success rate is through the roof--a weapon can STILL BREAK. Your character's luck may be the key factor in determining the difference between success and failure. Keep that in mind, y'all. I know I will. :)

I grind up only 2 times or so. The first grind is usually unbreakable. If it breaks on the second try then I'm really unlucky.

As for the party, I can change the time as easily as I came up with the idea. Lemme know when you're available (for weekends I'm only available in the evenings) and we'll try to agree on a better time.

I got a lot done and finally evolved my PM to Level 20! It's got little arms now.

I also got a new room theme called Kindergarten, so any of you who pay a visit to my room, you can marvel at the uber-awesome wallpaper.

I wasn't able to get to 33 tonight, but I'm close enough to get to it tomorrow when I log on. I'm gonna see if I can work it to 34 on that same day as well.

And did you all hear? Denethor has officially opened up shop! Good going, robo guy! (Oh, and I'm crashing this weekend's House Par-tay as a female Beast named Tsaryaoh. Sorry--I couldn't find a model close enough to fit my description.)

It seems I'm having a bit of trouble trying to determine prices for stuff to sell in my PIKA SHOP. I put up some of those Phi Photon, Gri Photon whatchamacallits for sale at around 200 Meseta each.

Also, I've been putting random items up for sale as well--some junk that people don't need. Yeah, my sales practices are pretty pathetic. Pikagirl may be an experienced Rank 8 Hunter who can take down a full-grown Da Ragan, but a good business owner? She most certainly is NOT.....

I NEED SOME SUGGESTIONS....I could synth items and weapons, and I want to sell things at reasonable prices. Should I sell regular items, or go for the pricier goods and sell them for cheap?

Feeding my PM machine.....it's now Level 29. Almost to 30.

Hey, you guys....I suggest a cool new armor called Ageha-something that's sold in Neudais for a cool 20000. It's got an Extra slot where you can put a Hel/HP Restore thingy, which retails around 10000.

Well, I spent 30000 Meseta on both of these tonight. Very very useful.

I am able to make 3 star lances right now. Upgrade them a couple of times and they are really fun for a low lvl character :)

and I can make any healing item instantly. very nice, but I hardly have materials , so I make one at a time for each.

my PM is lv34 for the moment. 20 striking, 1 range, 5 tech, and 8 armor

actually, I speculate that Online mode isn't any different from Extra mode except you play with other people and can open a shop to sell items to players 24/7.

Also, Online mode doesn't have all the areas unlocked yet. Moatoob hasn't been opened up.

Axes haven't been introduced yet online. They are the weapons I want beside spears.

On a side note, I got my PM to 80 and is now a maid :)

I have 60 strike now. Not sure if I should raise it further, or go with armor all the way.

Axes should be powerful as all get out once they become available. I can't wait to use those bad boys, provided a Human can use 'em :)

I've been feeding my PM like crazy! Moon Atomizers and Sol Atomizers seem to be having the most profound effect on it thus far. It's now Level 33. Striking 26. Rng. ZERO, Tech 7. Armor.....a big fat FLIPPIN ZERO.

Oh, and I snuck into Vonwert's room and took a peek at his maid. She's a cutie. I want one :( And, of course, I bought some of his Paper Lanterns to decorate my room with.

I stand now as a Level 37, Rank 9 Hunter--almost to Rank 10 and on my way to the ForteHunter. IF SEGA UNLOCKS IT.

There's about 10-15 people I know from here and from FFXI/InnerCircle. That's enough for a 6 person party nearly every day.

There's only a few missions available right now, but more will come later (a lot more, from what I can tell). You've got 3 on Parum, 5 on Neudiaz, and 2-3 on the Colony.

For the PS2 version you'll want a dedicated memory card. The system file is almost 3MB right now, and about to get bigger.

I managed to get a Crea weapon board.

Now here is what I need still to make it.

* 4 Kerseline
* 7 Copernia
* 2 Neu Ebon

If anyone has any they would be willing to spare, I'd be most thankful.

This weapon is for human only. It attacks multiple enemies at once. And it is a one handed blade.

I just rented PSU. I've played through the first 2 chapters of Story Mode. So far I don't really like it that much but I don't want to put it down once I get going. It's kind of an odd love/hate thing. And it's very linear. Questions: 1. What's the deal with all the disappearing people? 2. How much of the Story do I have to play to unlock Extra Mode? 3. Is there any way to use the 30 days free even though I'm using a rented copy? I doubt it but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

there's no registration number for each copy. You can go online with any copy, but you need to go to sega's billing site and subscribe from there.

when you sign in, use the name and password you made for sega and you can begin playing

you know what, I completely forgot about Lou.

If you do the tutorials from your room, talk to your PM. You'll go through the the enitre explanation on how the game works, but towards the end of it, an NPC cast girl named Lou will join you for a mission tutorial. But after all that is done, you get a partner card from her so you can party with her whenever you want.

I wonder if it's possible to invite Lou and your evolved PM at the same time?

Guess the developers wanted the game to play out like a cliched anime, which they've done successfully... unfortunately.

I did the Moatoob missions, I'm lv.31, was farming the planet and the C missions are a pain, because the monsters actually try to hurt you and have more HP than usual. :p Those jarbas suck too, with their instant kill ball things.

Synthing mew weapons and armor will give your stuff different photon elements that the stores won't be able to offer.

You see, much like I mentioned earlier, we've gotten used to a certain level of challenge being involved in action-oriented online games and just can't bring ourselves to invest the time nessesary to grind for endless hours doing the same missions.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! For me, I had two small whole chickens instead of a turkey. Ah well.

Anyways, I'm nearly at Level 45. Five more until the Level cap.

I'm getting into synthing my weapons now--I made a Durandal with a Light element and ground it only once. I've also synthed nice Twin Daggers with Fire elements attached. Not too shabby, considering my PM can pretty much handle making weapons :)

I can solo De Regan, Omnagoug, and even that huge ass robot in the Grove of Fanatics.

I won't be on tonight, so I'll see you all tomorrow :D

Because I am a force (level 32) should I make a striking PM for hunter weapons to sell? Or should I go Tech to eventually make rods/wands (whenever that is available) It seems silly that synthing is kinda useless for a Force.

Well I rented PSU for about two weeks and got a decent taste of it. It's okay but I wouldn't really want to pay $10 a month to play it. And the only reason I was interested is to play along with you guys. I did get into the Story mode though. I only got up to mid chapter 4, I might rent it again to get farther. I'm glad I got as far as I did though, that Maya is H-O-T! Seriously, wa wa wee wa!

I'm a guntecher. It's great, but I hate how slow your class levels. I got 40 mission points and I'm nowhere near 25% to lv2. :( And everything except my ATP and ATA suck, I hope my stats get good boosts on level up.

The Grandarod has a better cast time. It's slightly faster... TO THE MAX. Only one type of throwing blade is avilable, and it's 50 atp out of my range. I guess my next purchase must be armor.

finally beat the first part of the story mode. :D Rewards sucked, but hopefully it gets better for later story missions.

After beating the first part, you get a partner card from the NPC you party with. A beast hotty.

Anyways, I'm trying to get to 50, at least--despite the level cap increase. :) I leveled with two of my old friends from PSO BB that I'm happy to say joined the PSU family; Miriya and Katsumi. Goufunaki came along to party with us. It was so exciting to see them team up--friends I know back in PSO, and friends I know here in the Pav.

I'm such a stickler for unity.

How are you all doing with your advanced jobs? :)

Isn't that only because you're moving from level 10 to level 1. I'm sure at it's best, the Fortetecher will have better stats. Either that or the A and S ranks are going to have to make up for it!

After our last run, the game froze twice: Once when I was trying to move to my room from the field, and then when I was going to my room from Cylez City after logging back in.

I had to remove the ethernet cable to get the game to recognize that there was a problem. :(

If your character is inactive for 3 months, it will be subject to possible deletion.

It's in the manual somewhere.
