    About Characters

Do any of you get connected to any character you create? I know it may seem dorky, but I do. It's like...some of them are a part of me. I know, really geeky. But besides being a "Bohemian Queen", I'm an artist and a hippie, too.

I guess. Sometimes I create characters as paradies of real people. Then I laugh. A lot.

I create characters usually from dreams I have. So I am pretty connected I guess.

        Re: About Characters

Currently I have maybe 20-30 characters. Only one I have a connection to, and that was because he and I were pretty much one and the same until he got all developed. Interestingly, it's not my namesake character, Draygone.

Yeah, I get connected to my characters. Sometimes even to the NPCs.

Someday I'll get Cyrus Jackson into some kind of published works. It's not really a character so much as a reoccuring name.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

                          Re: About Characters

I usually try to make characters that the player will become connected with. If the player shares a connection with one (or more) of my characters then they'll be more likely to keep playing. I even try to make connections between the player and the villians, but usually my friends don't pay enough attention to why the bad guys are doing things... My goal to create an evil character that is more loved then my heroes: Sephiroth style!

Every single character that I've made so far has been a split-off fragment of myself, so yes...I do feel a connection with them. I still don't know if anybody else has while playing my first game, but for me those people are real.
