After re-securing rpgmpavilion.com a while back, I intended to not renew pavilionboards.com (as it's just the domain name for the forum, and not that important). But renewing it is only 8 dollars, so I figured I should ask. If people want it to stay, thats fine. if you don't, just say so.

Well it will break peoples cookies (for autologin) if they use pavilionboards. But I don't care as it would make more sense to have the domain be rpgmpavilion. So if it's going to cost extra, just use rpgmpavillion.Last edited by thetruecoolness; 10-28-2006, 11:24 PM.

Re: Should we keep the pavilionboards.com domain name?
As i recall seeing in another post(i think) you said the forum came first, and then the site...you registered under pavilionboards.com at first when you had the forum, and then got rpgmpavilion.com , right...i think...., so if you didnt renew it would this forum get transferred to http://www.rpgmpavilion.com/forum or what? not sure how that works just a question that popped into my mind
and if it does transfer to another domain name will you have a redirecting script on the old forum(pavilionboards.com) that redirects you to the new forum so everyones favorite link straight to the forum wont break?
I have no idea if what i said even has to do with what you were talking about....if im just blabbing just ignore me
I havent been here long so i may be just blabbing

If I keep it, pavilionboards.com will lead to the forums, and rpgmpavilion.com will lead to the site.
If I remove it, rpgmpavilion.com/forum will lead to the forum. yeah, current cookies would break, but you'd just have to log in again to take care of that. I'd just have to change the domain the cookies are associated with in the forum software.

I can type pavilionboards faster than rpgmpavilion.
I have to pause between the m and the p or I screw up.The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

It's because I'm switcing hands with r, p, and g and I'm typing m with my right index finger, but then I have to go from m to p with my pinkie. The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

i dont see a point in renewing it at all if you dont have to, thats 8 bucks out of your pocket, of course some of us isnt going to care because we're not the ones paying for it, but if i were you id look at it as one less bill you have to pay, one less thing on your mind, and 8 more bucks to go towards something you want, if its not needed, lose it
